Show DAVIS NEWS JOURNAL, NORTH DAVIS LEADER, MARCH 18, 1981 WEEKLY REFLEX Volunteer Banquet March 24th The Davis County Council on Aging will have the sixth annual volunteer recognition banquet on March 24 to be held at the Heidelberg Restaurant in Farmington at 6 p.m. THIS EVENT will honor volunteers who have given many hours of service during 1980 for the senior citizens, There is calling on the shutins. i telephone reassurance , ser- vice, driving seniors to doctor appointments and other necessary places when they do not drive or not able to go alone. There are many services and hours given to the nutrition program at the centers. HONORED AT this banquet will be members of the Heritage Center in Clearfield, The Silver Age meal site in Kaysville and the Golden Years Center in Bountiful. MISS KAYSVILLE HOPEFULS RICHARD Bushnell will serve as master of ceremony. The theme will be The Time Has Come. It is sponsored by the Kaysville JCK's. Tickets are $1.50 for adults and 50. cents for children 12 and under. They can be purchased from any JCK member or at the door the evening of the pageant. The JCK's and Kaysville this annual event. Annette Haacke is chairman with Susan Major, city and Paula Allen assisting. SHE IS a senior at Davis High and has placed in gymnastic meets. A member of the Drill Team for two years, she has also participated in musical production, gymnastics and ballet. e She will present a for her talent number. Her hobbies include gymnastics, skiing, dancing, horseback riding. She plans to attend the U. of U and major in dance and education. , S' v Kaysville 1980, will crown this years contest winner. The winner will receive a $250 scholarship and various other gifts. Participants are sponsored by local merchants. Miss Kaysville 1981 will represent Kaysville during the coming year and will compete in the Miss Davis County and Miss Utah pageants. CAMILLE Brinkerhoff, age daughter of Bruce M. and Marla Brinkerhoff, 280 S. 900 E., Kaysville. At Davis High she is a member of the National Honor Society and 17, is a Homemakers of America, drill-danc- ROCHELLE TERESA EVANS, Miss dance number for her talent. Her hobbies include dancing, gymnastics, art, cooking and sewing, swimming, jogging and sailing. Her ambition is to attend WSC majoring in art and modeling school. Contestants are: Tammera Lynn Barnard, age 17, daughter of Nolan and Carolyn Barnard, 113 E. 1st N Kaysville. She has brown hair, blue eyes and is 5'2 tall. On March 21. twelve local beauties will vie for the title of Miss Kaysville. The pageant will be held in the Davis High School auditorium at 7 p.m. where she serves as historian and secretary. A high school honor graduate, she has studied piano for eight years. For her talen number she will give a piano solo. She has brown hair, hazel eyes and is 53 tall. Her future plans are to earn a bachelor degree and be a CPA. Her hobbies include piano, needlework, embroidery, swimming, waterskiing and sewing. BROWN, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dee Brown, 915 E. 300 S., Kaysville, is a blonde with blue eyes, 55"tall. A student at Davis High she participates in drama, is a high honor student and a member of the National Honor Society. She has had lessons in dancing and gymnastics and is a member of the Pro Schola and DECA. She will do a modern DENISE DANIELS is 5'8'2 tall, has brown hair and brown eyes. She is the daughter of Reid and Lorna Daniels, 935 E. 250 S., Kaysville. She is a senior at Davis High, where she is a member of the National Honor Society, class com- mittee, seminary council, Madrigals and has received the Presidential Scholarship to BYU. She was elected as one of the Harvest Ball royality. She plays the guitar and sings, and will do a vocal solo for her talent. She enjoys reading, sports, music and plans to attend college and receive a degree in education. SUZANNE MARIE Fraser, age 17, is the daughter of Don and Janet Fraser, 389 S. East Oak Dr., Fruit Heights. She has blonde hair and blue eyes and is 5'6 tall. She has had special training in music and modern darite and will sing for her talent presentation. A makeup artist for ZCMI and Weinstocks, she does promotion work throughout the Ogden and Salt Lake areas. She has had training as a dental assistant and in sales work. She had modeled for companies throughout the area. Her hobbies include snow and water skiing, racket ball, cooking, sewing, jogging, modeling and singing. Shannon Rd. Kaysville. She is 58 tall and has blonde hair and blue eyes. She will give an original musical presentation for her talent number. Dee Anne has had drama at BYU for two years and attended school at Davis High School. She plays the piano, guitar and has had instruction in modern tap, jazz and ballet. She studied under Clytie Adams' School of Ballet and Afton Christensen's Dance Studio. SOME HONORS she has earned include: Most Talented 1981, Most Promising 1978; Most Outstanding Sophomore Thespian 1979 at Davis High. She has performed in various BYU productions. SANDIA CAROL Rasband. 17, is the daughter of Russell and Carol Rasband. She has blonde hair and blue eyes and is 5'2 tall. She has been employed for three years, with one year spent in managing the store in Pioneer Village, and she works as a Sabin. 415 N. 800 E., Kaysville. She is 17. has blonde hair and brown eyes, and 5'5" tall. She has played the piano for eight years and plays the clarinet. She has taken art classes and is a flag twirler. A member of the Davis High Marching Band and Davis Flag Corps, she is a member of the Symphonic band and has completed a five year course in musical theory and composition. SHE WAS a representative at a convention held in St. George for the Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce; advocates for the competitive enterprise system, flag corps uniform designer and committee chairman. She plans to attend Southern Utah State College and major in commercial art. She received an award for original poetry and was published by the Davis High English Dept, in Golden Leaves publication. Her hobbies are singing, piano, writing, soccer, mini golf and basketball. At Davis she won an excellent rating in the region drama meet: is a member of the Thespian Guild and participated in the region solo ensemble festival.
