Fort Lane. Layton, died Tuesday, Sept. 8, 1981 at h'T home. SHE WAS born March 30, 1898 in Garden City, Utah, a daughter of Thomas and Kcilh Thomas Whitesides, 54. of 3X60 Midland Dr., Roy. died Sept. 7, 1981 in the Emma Windley Simms. On April 2, 1919, she married Ernest Woffinden in Salt Lake City. He died April 28. McKay-DeHosiptal. He was horn Nov. 7, 1926 in Salt Lake City, the son of Carl James and e 1964. Leah lone Cunningham SHE LIVED in Garden City for 44 years and in Layton for 39 years. She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Whitesides. He married Elaine Homer Sept. 14, 1951 in Logan. HE HAD lived in Layton for years, moving to Roy just three years ago. He was a of Davis High and attended USU. He graduated from the U. of U. in 1963 with a bachelor's degree in education. He taught school at North Das is Jr High School in Clear-Hel- d for 20 years. He was a member of the LDS Church: worked at the Veterans Hospital in Salt Lake City vshile attending school, was the Davis County recreation director for many years, served on the Davis County Fair Committee and the senior citizens advisory committee. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served in the Navy Medical Corps from Sept. 14, 1948 until June 23, 51 SHE WAS Layton 1st had served dent, Relief gra-dua- a memeber of the LDS Ward. She as Primary presiSociety president !.. and Relief Society visiting teacher supervisor. She had KEITH WHITESIDES FUNERAL SERVICES were held in the Lindquist's Kays-vill- e Chapel with Bishop Joseph Whitesides officiating. Family prayer was given by Wilford Whitesides; prelude and postlude usic by Lee Johnson; invocation by Richard Homer; Organ medley by Lee Johnson. 1950. Remarks were given by are his widow of Roy; son. Steven K. White-side- s, SURVIVING Bishop Whitesides and speak- er was Clifford Bradley. Mrs. Roy; daughters, Missionaries Daniel (Karlene) Mookini, Mesa, Ariz.; Mrs. Joseph R. (Marcia) Boudreau Jr., Syra- cuse; Mrs. Roy (Shanna) Clearfield; six NlcKendrick, grandchildren. Also, his mother of Layton; brother, C. Wayne White-sideApple Valley, Calif.; sister, Mrs. Barbara Winters, Layton. s, A musical selection by Orbon Christensen and a benediction by Paul Smith. JACK MF.CHAM gave the dedication of the grave. Pallbearers were Mark Woodward, Joe Woodward, Ross Woodward, Kip Woodward, Carl Woodward and Kevin Homer. Interment in the Kays-vill- e City Cemetery. also served in the MIA and in several other church capacities. Surviving are two sons and three daughters, Duard S. Woffinden, Logan: Rulon E. Woffinden, Big Piney, Wyo.; Elaine W. Webb. Paris, Ida.; Wilma W. Mauchley, Logan; LuRae Woffinden, Layton; 17 grandchildren and 23 : HE WAS owned and operated the Reed Wholesale Florist Supply. ; He was an Elder in the Roy 1 6th LDS Ward. He was feared in Kaysville and graduated from Davis High School. He lived in Kaysville, San lose, Calif., Layton and in Roy the past nine years. ; SURVIVING are his widow and three sons and two daughters, Shawn Reed, Scott of Roy Reed, Lance Reed, Jenny Reed and Amber Reed, all of Roy. Also surviving are his parents of Kaysville and one brother. David Reed also of Roy. 1 serve in the Michigan Dearborn Mission. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Lore, 1367 Golden Circle, Fruit Heights. He will enter the MTC Oct. 1. ELDER LORES mission farewell was held Sept. 13 in the Fruit Heights 2nd Ward. He graduated from Clearfield High School where he was active on the swim team and in other sports. He has attened WSC. np Elder Perkins Has Returned 1 Picnic Slated Washington, Utah. Funeral services were held Friday, Sept. 1 , in the Layton 1st LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop Renny Knowlton officiating. FUNERAL arrangements were made through Lindquist Kaysville Mortuary. Interment was in the Garden City Cemetery. WOFFINDEN Elder Ryan Perkins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn Perkins of Kaysville, has returned Sept. 2 from serving in the Florida Fort Lauderdale MisELDER LORE Elder David Lore has accepted a mission call to sion. He gave his report Sept. 13 in the Kaysville 20th Ward. He will continue his education at BYU. 18 Craig Ken Glauscr leaves Oct. 8 for the Pennsylvania Harrisburg Mission. Craig graduated from Davis and the LDS Seminary and has attended WSC. 7-- 9 Scott Taylor To Report LDS Mission Elder Scott Taylor returned home Sept. 10 from serving in the MissouriSt. Louis Mission. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Taylor of 1075 E. Green Rd., Fruit Heights. He will gave his report Sept. 13 in the Kaysville 5th Ward. He will continue his studies at USU this fall. Elder Applegate Is Called Elder Kelly Applegate has accepted a mission call to serve in the Korea Seoul Mission. He is the son of Mrs. at the Layton Commons Park, 487 Wasatch. SEVERAL PARTY officers and elected officials are expected to attend this years picnic which will begin at 5 p.m. with volleyball and other activities.
