Wilcox, 86, of 99 E. 100 N., Clearfield, died July 23, 1982 in the Davis North Medical Center of causes incident to age. He was born Feb. 16, 1896 in Woods Cross, the son of James Fracklin and Lillian Jane Muir Wilcox. HE MARRIED Viola Pearl Walker Mar. 17, 1920 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died in May of 1970. He married Edith Draper Owens July 23, 1971 in (he Salt Lake LDS Temple. Mr. Wilcox was a member of the Clearfield 3rd Ward and for many years was a temple worker. He was a high priest in his stake. He had resided in Clearfield the greater part of his life, having moved with his family w hen small child from Woods Cross, He and his first wife did, however, reside in Burley, Ida, for a short time. He had been a farmer all of his life and also retired from Hill AfB. SURVIVING ARE his widow of Clearfied; sons and daughters, Larry Wilcox, Cleone W. WiJchcn, Enoch, Ut.; he has 24 grandchildren and 33 brother, Glen E. Wilcox, Chico, Calif., and sister, Lola W. Jensen. Burley, Ida. Funeral services were held July 27 in the Clearfield 3rd Ward with Eldon H. Bennett, a bishop's counselor officiating. Family prayer was given by Glen E. Wilcox; organ prelude and postlude by Mary Blood; invocation by Howard Hensen; musical selction "Come Unto Jesus," by Dee and Cleone W. Wilchcn, Acc: by Jay W'ilchen. SPEAKERS WERE his three sons, Melvin, Larry and Hal M. Wilcox. A vocal duet was sung by Lorette J. Merrill and Reed Jensen, Acc: by Mary Blood; benediction by Dee H. Wilchen; Dean E. were held Thursday at 1 a.m. in the Kaysville 12th Ward Chapel for Mr. Jan Nelson Carver, age 34, of 810 Shannon Road, Kayivile, who died July 19, 1982 at her home of multiple sclerosis, She was bom April 29, 1948 In Phoenix, Aria., a daughter of Florin U. and Wil- cox, another son, dedicated his father's grave. Pallbearers were all grandsons, Paul, Brett, Robert H., Jeffrey, Howard and Blair Wilcox, and Jay and Gary Wilchen. brothers. The marriage was later solemied Paul C. Diaz, Sr , 73, in the YWM1A program. She was a scout leader. Primary teacher and a church librarian. Layton for two years. She was a member of the Multiple Sclerosis Society. SERVING are her husband of Kaysville, a son and daughter, Bart Carver and Taun Carver, both of Kaysville; her parents of Kaysville; three sisters, Mrs. Cyd Sparks, Salt Lake City; Drue Nelson and Pat Nelson, both of Seattle, Wash.; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James A. Nelson, Mrs. Fay Day, Merlin R. Morrison, all of Salt Lake City. Bishop Richard Brough officiated at the funeral. Family N. years, and a member of the Jehovah Witnesses for 40 years. He lived in Pueblo, Colo, for 51 ycarv and in Wagonnound, N.M. lor 14 nedicts Hospital in Ogden. He was born Sept, 13, iwx m Maxwell, N M. the son of Abraham and lernunda Cm Diaz. He married Kuih Alguin in Pueblo, Colo., on Nov. 10. years, and the past eight years in Layton. He attended school in Maswcll, New Mexico. Surviving is his wife of sons, Paul Diaz, Jr.. Houston, Texas; William J. 1934. She was a member of the Clearfield 12th LDS Ward. She had served in the Primary Presidency and held various other positions. Sue received recognition for serving as Relief Society Teacher for 50 years. Sunday. July 18. 19X2 at a Clearfield Nursing Home of causes incident to age. MRS. MANNING was bom November 26. 1898 in Bountiful, a daughter of Arthur John and Sarah Ann Thurgood Bumingham. She married Floyd K. Manning in January of 1919 in Ogden. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died December 8, 1962. DEDICATION of the grave by Dwain Buchanan; pallbearers were Scott Ostergaard, Ted Thomas, Kent Barnes, Dirk Barnes, Richard Wallace, George Greco; care of flowers by the Kaysville 12th Ward Relief Society. Interment in the Kaysville City Cemetery. SHE HAD resided in West Point and Clearfield and SHE HAD been employed in the Davis County Lunch program. Surviving are one son and one daughter, Elmer F. Manning, W'cst Point and Mrs. Irene M. Hess of Ogden, six grandchildren and 17 Paul Thomassen Dies In Calif. Paul R. Thomassen, Sr., age 93, died July 23, 1982 at the home of his son, Paul R. Tho- massen, Jr., HI Camaritos, jouth San Francisco, Calif. He was a former resident of Kaysville. MR. THOMASSEN was born July 2, 1889 in Sandy, Ut., the son of Paul and Fioret-t- e Robbins Thomassen. He married Elizabeth Robinson Oct. 22, 1914. She died Feb. 26, 1981. He had served an LDS mission to the Eastern States Mission and was an active high priest in the San Jose 18th Ward. SURVIVORS are three daughters and two sons, Mrs. Homer (Florette) Butcher and Mrs. William (Dorisse) Coates, both of Kailua, Hawaii; Mrs. Cleora Johnson, Rancho Cardova, Calif.; Dr. Paul R. Thomassen, Jr., South San Francisco; Thomas J. Thomassen, San Jose, Calif. Friends may call at the Lindquist Kaysville Mortuary from 1:15 to 1:45 p.m. prior to dedicatory graveside services which will be held at 2 p.m. July 30 in the Kaysville City Cemetery under the direc- tion of the Lindquist tuary.
