Mike Woodward underwent major surgery last week at the Davis North Medical Center. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Don Woodward, a member of the Davis High football team. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Heath visited in West Valley City with Mrs. Delta Fransden and Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Fransden. Labor Day visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Ruton Killian were their son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Sheffield Killian of Ogden. Vance King and his wife Jill were recently confined to treatment at a Idaho hospital when they were injured in an automobile accident. They were flown home after being released from the hospital. From Findlay, Ohio comes word of the arrival of a daughter named Melanie bom to Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Springer. The new addition arrived on July 30 and is their third child. Mrs. Springer is the former Marianne Nichols of Kaysville, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Murray Nichols. Other grandparents are Mr. and Mrsi George Springer, Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Merritt Nielson entertained at a family dinner on Labor Day.
