Funeral services for Jack Charles Jensen, 42, who died Sept. 22 of injuries suffered in an airplane crash, were held today in Preston,Ida. Burial wasin the Preston Cemetery. es Alpine Man Diesin Hospital ALPINE — Phillip Ervin Russon, 69, Alpine, died Sunday in the Utah Valley Hospital of cancer. was bern April 3, 1901, in Springville, a son of George and Inza Houtz Russon He married Hannah Hanson on Jan. 5, 1923, in Salt Lake City; the marriage was later solemnizedin the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Mr. Russon was employed for 2% years by Hercules Powder Co. at Bacchus, Utah. For 10 years helived in Roosevelt. He was an active member of the LDS Church,serving in the Bishopric for 10 years. At the time of his death, he was a Salt Lake Temple ordinance worker. Survivors include his widow; three sons and three daughters, Keith E. and Wayne P. Russon, both of Alpine; Mrs. Orval C. (LaPriel) Bawden and Wendell G, Russon, both of Orem; Mrs. Clark L. (Barbara) Roberts, Myton; Mrs, C. Richard (Phyllis) Barber, Salt Lake Gity; 35 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Clarence (Hilda) Bushman and Mrs. Marlin (Mildred) Christiansen, Lehi; Mrs. Arthur (Velma) Olsen, Kaysville. Funeralservices will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Alpine Second LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may cali Tuesdayfrom 7 to 9 p.m. at the Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary in Orem and at the chapel Wednesday one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. He was born Juiy 16, 1925, in Moroni, Utah, a son of Anthony and Anna Monso Christensen. He married Grace Hansen on March 17, 1943, in Moroni. He received his early education in Moroni schools and after his marriage they lived there. He joined the U.S. Navy Dec. 15, 1944, and was stationed aboard the USS Washington. He was discharged April 20, 1946, in Boston Mass., and moved to Provo where he was employed by Utah Appliance Co as a serviceman for 15 years. In 1959 he moved to Orem where he was living at the time of his death, He had retired because of ill health in 1961. He was a member of the LDS Church, being an Elderat the timeof his death. His hobbies were hunting and fishing. Survivors include his widow; one son and two daughters, Richard A. Christensen, in the U.S. Armyin Fort Polk, La.; Mrs.Lloyd (Linda) Johnson and Mrs. Rand (Trdy} Carter, both of Orem; three grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. DeVona Cox, Provo; Mrs. Adelle Carter, Moroni; Mrs. Anna Otteson, Grantsville. Funeralservices will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Berg Drawing Room Chapelof Provo with Bishop Farr Hatch of Orem 32nd Ward officiating Friends may call at the mortuary Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday prior to services. Burial will be in the Orem City Cemetery where full military rites will be accorded.
