The little miss will be nar.:J nttanie Lynn. Excited to have a new sister are Brandon, 6, and Justin, 4. Happy grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Bryan McArthur, who now have 24 grandchildren, and Mr. and Mrs. Paul D. Edmunds, who now have seven both of grandchildren, Manti. Nolan Emery Kjar It was a very special birthday present at the home of Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Kjar (Vergie Shepherd) on Tuesday, May 11, 1982 with the arrival of a first child, a son. The baby was named Nolan Emery. He weighed 7 lbs. 3 oz. when he was born at the Gunnison Valley Hospital. Pleased grandparents1 are Mrs. Madge Shepherd, Rocky Ridge, Arizona and Lloyd and Kathleen Kjar, now serving an LDS mission in England. Mr. and Mrs. Rez Adams of Orem are the babys foster grandparents. ; Rita Diane Goodman Stanford Johnson family honor since. They have been very active temple workers. They raise a beautiful garden each year and remain active participants in ward and family affairs. Their surviving posterity today includes three sons, three daughters-in-law- , 21 grandchildren and this family. Stanford and Artemisia Johnson Forrest Olsen accepts call Elder Forrest Lee Olsen, son of Lee and Pat Olsen, Bartflow, California and grandson of Mrs. Erma Olsen, Manti, has been called to serve a mission for the LDS Church in the Korea-Pusa- n Mission. Forrest is a 1981 graduate of Taegu American High School, Taegu, Korea, where he and his family lived for three years. Forrest has been working for Carl Kartchner Enterprises, in Barstow since he and his family returned from Korea nine months ago. Forrest is an assistant scoutmaster and Webelos leader in his ward and is an Eagle Scout. He is the eldest of the Olsen's nine children, the youngest three having been adopted while the Olsens resided in Korea. Forrest is excited and anxious to return to Korea. While living there, the Olsen family lived directly in the Korea-Pusa- n Mission area. Forrest now has the privilege of returning to a culture he knows and appreciates. Stanford Emery Johnson and Artemisia Foote were married the 4th day of June, 1917 in Emery, Utah. They and two other couples then traveled to Manti where their marriage was sealed for eternity. They spent the first 40 years in Emery, farming and raising their four boys, Deril, Marrell, Clair and Bruce. Three of these boys served their country during World War II. The other one worked in the shipyards for the defense effort. All of the boys returned home after the war and began families of their own except their oldest son Deril, who became very ill during his service years. He passed away in September, 1947.
