Florence Peterson Thompson Funeral services for Florence Peterson Thompson, 76, Ephraim, who died in a Salt Lake City hospital on Sept. 23, 1983, were held in the Ephraim LDS Fifth Ward chapel on Sept. 27, 1983. Interment was in the Ephraim Park Cemetery. Mrs. Thompson was born in Ephraim on Oct. 22, 1906, to Thomas A. and Elizabeth Stevenson Peterson. She married Dale Thompson on May 21, 1930, in the Manti IDS Temple. An active member of the LDS Church, she attended local schools and participated in various civic and church activities. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Darrell (Rula) Warren, Gunnison; Mrs. LaMar (Judy) Moody, Salt Lake City, six grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. LaVerne Johnson, Salt Lake City. Donald LeRoy Larsen Funeral services for Donald LeRoy Larsen, 67, Manti, who died on Sept. 19, 1983, in Mayfield, Utah, of a lingering illness, were held at the Buchanan Mortuary in Manti on Sept. 22, 1983. Burial was in the Manti City Cemetery. Mr. Larsen was born in Manti on Feb. 17, 1914, to H. LeRoy and Stella She married James Tillman Herring on April 19, 1919, in Castle Dale. The marriage was later eternalized in the Manti LDS Temple. He died May 6, 1927. She married Warren Lunceford on Nov. 1, 1934, in Provo. He died Oct. 18, Larsen. schools. May He attended local He is survived by a son, Thurman, Concord, Calif., a daughter, Stella, Las Vegas, New Mexico; two granddaughters; a brother, Morris, Orem, Utah, and a sister, Mrs. Helen Braithwaite, Manti, Utah. Mr. and Mrs. LaMar James of Manti are proud to announce the coming marriage of their daughter, Wendy, to Don Cheney, son of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Cheney of Springville, Utah. They will be married Oct. 1 , 1983 at the Linderhof in Sterling. He was born on Feb. 25, 1902, in Springville, Utah, the son of William F. and Diantha Lowry Reid. He married Selma Storrs in Salt Lake City on Aug. 20, 1923. Capt. Thomas E. Lund, son of Ralph and June Lund of Ephraim, has been decorated with the second award of the Army Commendation Medal at Fort Hood, Texas. The Army Commendation Medal is awarded to those individuals who demonstrate outstanding achievement or meritorous service in the performance of their duties on behalf of the Army. Lund is a company commander with the 2nd Armored Division. librarian. A member of the LDS Church, she had been a church organist, served a temple mission, been a YWM1A and Relief Society president. She was a charter member of the DUP and a member of the Ladies Literary Gub. She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Lawrence (Inez) Hermansen, Salt Lake City; a step-soMaeser G. Edwards, Bountiful; Mrs. Catherine Jones, Bountiful; Mrs. Reed (Ina) Starley, Burley, Idaho; several nieces and nephews. and his One of her wife, Roland and Enid Adams, took care of her needs for several years. Stretching from the depression days of the 1930s to today, they have had a wonderful and rewarding marriage. They were married on October 4, 1933 in the Manti LDS Temple by President Lewis R. Anderson. They have been residents of Ephraim ever since. both communities. They are the parents of three children: John A. Braithwaite of Huntington Beach, Calif., Fredrick Remo Braithwaite of Provo and Mrs. Karma of Westminster, Calif. They have nine grandchildren, five granddaughters and four grandsons. Interment was in the Ephraim City Cemetery. Mrs. Edwards was born on August 2, 1892, in Ephraim, Utah to Charles Rolfson and Margaret Nielsen Dorius. She married George Q. Edwards on June 5, 1942, in the Manti LDS Temple. He died February 6, 1968. She was a graduate of Snow Academy and attended summer sessions at the University of Utah.
