You missed something To the Fditor: read an article in the Messenger of Sept. 12 that stated the work on the flood channel had gone along smoothly and that it would all be done by that weekend, and maybe even before the paper was out. I But lo and behold, here it is two months later and I can look across the channel and see a pile of garbage that has to be loaded up and hauled orr. because it consists was once curb and gutter and sidewalk, some of which will weigh up to a thousand pounds, that was dug up from somewhere and dumped there. I guess they thought that it could be used for fill but wasnt. I think that most of the work that has been done looks good, but it will not be complete until that pile is cleaned up. think there are about two or three truck loads there. I dont understand why it was not cleaned up last August when they were there working on it. It would not have taken any more time to have done it then, than later.
