On Thursday, November 7, Snow College volleyball team played Utah Technical College of ProvoOrem in a playoff volleyball game at Juab High School to determine who would host the regional tournament. The match began at 7 p.m. and lasted nearly three hours. determining game began slowly with neither team emerging very quickly. Then, after a pretty conservative and cautious start, Utah Tech pulled ahead with a 14-- 5 score. Since the game only goes to 15, it was looking pretty bleak for the Lady Badgers. In the next half hour, however. Snow made one of the most valiant comebacks anyone could ever see. After beginning the game with some erratic serving, they proceeded to serve well and play great defensive ball and come up with some big Cami Pollard, Kathleen spikes. Reeve and Kelli Freeman each made some big spikes, as did Shelley Cook and Haven King. In the excitement of the comeback. The football team really made their presence felt when they marched in. Snow lost the first game and the football team entered as they were playing the second game, and that was the game Snow won, as well as the third one. The football team was tremendous in their support, as were many other Snow College students and staff members who had made thetro to Nephi. The school spirit was marvelous, and all of us in attendance felt something that was wonderful. It was indeed one of the most exciting athletic contests anyone could hope to sec. And though we lost the match and the right to host the regional volleyball tournament, I believe every young woman who played that evening gained renewed conviction and confidence by the tremendous manner in which they came back. 17-1- 6, 19-1- To watch these Snow Badgers come back with such courage when they were physically exhausted was To watch them play exciting.
