BY BRUCE JENNINGS Although the Manti Second Ward had held a court of honor two weeks before, it nevertheless still' had numerous awards to give out at its Scout banquet. The Awards were presented to two Eagles, five adult leaders, three boys named for special church recognition and a number of Cubs, Scouts and Varsity Scouts. The Eagle Awards went to Brent Jensen, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard L. Jensen, and Shane Stilson, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Stilson of Manti. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. C. Montgomery of Mt. Pleasant, Mrs. Gerald Quigley, Missoula, Montana and Mr. and Mrs. H. Lynn Arnold of Orem. Don will make their . Cloe Cox Buchanan Born March 22, 1908 in Manti, a daughter of William M. Cox and Luella Madsen. Married Duncan Buchanan Sept. IS, 1925 in Richfield; later eternalized in the Manti LDS Temple. She served in the Relief Society Presidency and was a temple worker Funeral services will be held Friday 21, 1986 at 12 noon in the Manti LDS Tabernacle. Other adult awards were presented to Mary Kovarik and Lora Cox for their service to the Cubbing program. A ChurchFaith in God Award was presented to Sean Hales and On My Honor awards to Erik Olsen, Brent Jensen and Shane Stilson. Claudia Olsen played several roles at the banquet: troop committee chairman, banquet general chairman and master of ceremonies. Mrs. Olsen explained that a court of honor had been held two weeks prior to the banquet in order to free more time for the banquet program and its special awards.
