Funeral services for Almeda Christensen Funk, 80, who passed away August 5, 1989 at the home of her daughter, Evelyn Lloyd, in Sandy, were held August 7, 1989 in the Sego Lily LDS Ward Chapel. Interment was in the Sterling City Cemetery, Sterling, Utah. V - ' kST - H? . ,.' fSw 'V ; Chrisof tensen, 83, Manti, passed away in the Gunnison Valley Hospital on August 1, 1989. Funeral services were held in the Manti Tabernrcle on August 5. Burial was in the Aurora Cemetery. She was bom September 13, 1905 in Aurora, Utah to William Andrews and Luella Mason. She married Wallen Lorenzo Christensen in the Manti IDS Temple on July 18, 1923. He preceded her in death in 1982. Active in the Gertrude Christensen Gertrude was an active member of the LDS Church, and worked for many years in the Manti Temple as a temple worker. She also held positions in the YWMIA, was a counselor in the Relief Society. , Christine Shaw to marry Steven Ray Friday in temple the marriage of their daughter Christine to Steven Ray, son of Gary and Nancy Ray of Ephraim. The couple will be married Friday, August 11, 1989 in the Manti LDS Temple. A reception will be held that evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Manti Stake Center, 295 S. Main, Manti. All friends and relatives are invited to attend. The bride is a 1987 graduate ofManti High School and Seminary. She was a member of the Templarettes and volleyball team for four years. She was a member of the National Honor Society and was the English and LDS Church, serving in many positions. She loved doing handi- work and not one Christmas passed without a handmade gift for all her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildre- n. Survived by her children: Mrs. Robert B. (Merlene) Petersen, Manti; Alvin Odell (Arlene) Funk, Roosevelt; Hillard Jay (Yvonne) Funk, Mrs. Perry M. (Ora Mae) Bjerregaard, Mrs. LeRoy C. (Evelyn) Lloyd, all of Sandy; 19 grandchildren; 43 three great-grandchildre- n; Pre- ceded in death by a grandson, Kenneth Lee Funk. He was active in the auto mechanics program and the baseball team for four years. He served an LDS mission to the Pennsylvania-Harrisbur- g Mission. He graduated in June from Snow College with an Associate of Applied Science in Automotive Industry Degree. He is presently employed at State Transmission in Orem. The couple will make their home in Orem, where they will continue their education at Utah Valley Community College. Jessica Cherise Jones, daughter of Sandra Lea Goode and James Milton Jones, will marry Jerry Andrew Jensen of Sterling, Utah, son of Merrill and Sally Jensen. Their marriage date is August 19th, 1989 in the Manti LDS Temple. Jessica attended Upper Cape Cod Regional Vocational High School, and studied nursing for three years. She finished her senior year at San Juan Iigh School in California. Jerry graduated from Manti (AH Jeans In Annette West and Cy recited wedding vows in a unique mountain setting Tuesday, August 8, 1989 with Bishop Leland Thompson performing the ceremony in the presenc of family and friends. Annette is the daughter of Mayo and Eva Black of Ephraim. The bridegroom is from Wisconsin. Annette and her three children and Cy have been spending the week in Ephraim with her parents.
