The family first settled in San Francisco and were there at the time of the great earthquake. They later left San Francisco and made their home in various places where work could be found. After they were married they came to Utah in 1929. They lived in Birdseye, Fairview and Mt. Pleasant and moved to Ephraim in 1945 where she has resided ever since. Sanpete Historical Society plans annual fall tour 1st Ward at 9:20 a.m. and will stop for passengers at the Manti City Building at about 9:30 a.m. Bus fare and a lunch at a Gunnison cafe will be furnished for $10. Anyone interested is invited to take the tour. Reservations are desired by Thursday, Oct. 5th. The tour will include visits to the Jewish settlements of Clarion and Dover and other historical sites in Gunnison, field, Fayette, Mayfield and other areas of the south end of the eounty.
