LDS General Conference dated for Mar. 31 , Apr. 1 The 160th Annual General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, March 31, and april 1, 1990, die First Presidency has announced. General sessions of the conference will be conducted in the Tabernacle on Temple Square at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. both days, and a general priesthood session is set for 6 p.m. Saturday. Presiding at the conference will be President Ezra Taft Benson, world leader of the Church, assisted by his counselors in the First Presidency, President Gordon B. Hinckley and President Thomas S. Mon-son. Speakers will include members of the First Presidency and the Council of Twelve Apostles, as well as other general authori- ties of the Church. Music for the Sunday ses- sions will be provided by the e Mormon Tabernacle Choir, with Jerold D. Ottley and Donald II. Ripplinger, directors, 325-voic- day morning session, with Robert C. Bowden directing and Clay Christiansen at the organ. Saturday afternoons session will feature a Primary childrens choir from the Granger Utah Region of the Church, directed by Glenda Nordfelt with Christiansen at the organ. The Saturday evening priesthood session will feature the Combined Mens Choir from the LDS institutes of religion in Ephraim, Orem, Salt Lake City, Ogden and Logan. Douglas Brenchley will direct, with Cundick accompanying on the organ. General sessions of the conference will be carried live on KSL television and radio and KUSW shortwave radio. All sessions will be telecast live via satellite to congregations throughout the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico. Hie guest speaker will be Allen D. Roberts, the architect with Cooper and Roberts who is working on the Co-o- p restoration project in Ephraim. He is also working with the Mt. Mr. Roberts has written many books on architecture, and has devoted 17 years of his profes sional life to the ad vancement of historic preservation, the primary objective of the Utah Heritage Foundation. For the food, beautiful flowers and plants, for the cards and visits, we are deeply grateful. A special thanks to the law enforcement and friends who honored Bob, as pallbearers and escort to the cemetery. The words of comfort and beautiful music at the funeral and the love and support of family members meant so much at this time of sorrow. Our thanks too, for the many kindnesses and acts of friendship shown to Bob since he had his stroke in 1981 and struggled to communicate. He was always happy to be acknowledged.
