Born July 2, 1906 in Manti, Utah to Russell Layard and Alice Madsen Moffitt Attended Manti High School and BYU. Very talented musician as a teenager. Born April 20, 1940 in Ephraim, Utah, to Kenneth (Carolyn) Noorda, Riverton; Mrs. David H. (Ruby) Olson, Mission Viejo, Calif.; Mrs Richard (June) Perry and Fawn Braithwaite Rasmussen. The Rasmussen family moved to Salt Lake City in 1953 where Phillip later attended East High School and South High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Marines in 1957, where he served honorably. Retired from Kennecott Copper Corporation after 26 years of service. Member of the LDS Taylor, Basin, Wyoming. Preceded in death by a sister, Marlene Brown, March 10, 1971 and her husband Dale Brown in March 9, 1981. Funeral services were held Oct. 23, 1990 in Salt Lake City and interment was in the Church. Ephraim City Ephraim, Utah. Survived by his mother, Salt R. McKay Andersen Orem, Utah. Born November 28, 1920 in Spring City! Utah, a son of Arthur Kimberly Andersen; sister, Ethel Glanz, Salt Lake City and brother, Arthur F. Andersen, Murray. Preceded in death by a granddaughter, Tina Michelle and Ethelyn Allred Andersen. Married Mayre McKay, August 16, 1941 in Mt. Pleasant, Utah. She died December 4, 1987. Member of the LDS Church. Cashier at Bank of Ephraim for 40 years. Veteran of World War II. Former member of the Andersen. Funeral services were held Oct. 20, 1990 in the Ephraim LDS Stake Center. Interment in Spring City Cemetery with military honors. Ephraim Lions Club and member of the Provo Elks Lodge.
