He will report his mission in the Sacrament meeting in the Ephraim 1st Ward this Sunday at 12:30 p.m. We would like to thank everyone for the love and concern everyone has shown us at this terrible time in our lives. It helps us get through each day and helps us face each problem knowing that people do care. We love our son very much and we know that he is in the arms of the Lord. As parents we want our son back no matter what but we put our trust in the Lord to make the decisions on Kories life. Korie is not in the condition ' he is in because of an automobile accident, he is in this condition because of the decisions Korie has made in his life. We were only given a 5 chance of his survival and he is still with us, so maybe the answer to the question of why is that if it will help change the life ofjust one of the youth in our area it will help ease our broken hearts. We thank all of you again, please keep Korie in your prayers. Dennis and Lynnda Cox and family Learn C.P.R. Jackie Young and Dr. F.R. Bosch Master Teacher Certificates earned by Snow instructors Two Snow College faculty members have returned from an international conference with awards and a new enthusiasm for a rather unique style of teaching. Dr. F. R. Bosch and Professor Jackie Young recently received Master Teacher Certificates at the 13th annual institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) sponsored by the University of Texas in Austin. Young and Bosch became members of the Snow College Business Division in the fall of 1990. Its the first time Snow College faculty members have presented at this prestigious international conference. Their presentation thesis was Environmental Perception: A Creative Instructional Process for the 90s". Para-digm- ic The Snow College professors say that failure to understand the new classroom setting has affected and will continue to affect instructor as well as and effectiveness. Therefore, it is imperative that instructors and student interaction administrators of the 90s come paradigm over- paralysis (terminal disease of certainty), and equip themselves with the knowledge and skills that will greatly benefit all involved. Dr. Bosch and Professor Young say that PEP answers the many questions that instructors have addressed for so long but to which few have found solutions. It takes a long time to change people who have been teaching for a long time and it really is a lot ofwork to do things this way but it pays off with the students, said Young. Its really a lot more interesting for both the student and the professor and its not so stifling as the traditional style of teaching." The two faculty members plan to offer workshops as well as seminars soon. Buckle Up! I |
