Contestants include Ann Keisel, Ann Jeanette Kellett, and Carisa Hilton, all Moroni; Kristina Larsen, Fairview; Abbi Barket, Mt Pleasant; Sarah Ramsey, ephraim; Esther Chapman, Jolene Bagnall, Jill Petersen Frischknecht, Ballet She will perform a ballet. patriotic Kamie K. Frischknecht will be a senior at Manti High School and is the daughter of Paul R. and Rebecca Frischknecht. She has trained on piano, violin, viola and in dance. She has been a cheerleader, played on the volleyball team and enjoys sports. She will perform a piano solo in the pageant Jill Petersen is the daughter of Jim and Janice Petersen, Manti. and is a graduate of Manti High School. She is a student at Snow College. Jill has trained in piano, violin, voice, cello and dance. She was a member of the MHS and Snow College orchestras, Snow Choir and has been accompanist. She has won academic honors and was a member of the Miss Snow and Kamie all Manti; Bernadette Lund, Gunnison; Marianne Stitt and Roxanne Fjeldsted, both Centerfield. Petersen won the Western States Country Music contest and has performed in several concerts including the Sahara at Las Vegas. He has had the opportunity to open for such artists as Earl Thomas Connely and Chris LeDoux. Pageant judges will include Julene Taylor Judd, former Miss Sanpete and Miss Utah State Fair; her husband Gary, who is presently a consultant for the Covey Leadership Center; Charlene Winters, who has been involved for ten years with pageants; Donald Winters, an Orem attorney; and Sharolynn Pyeatt, an interview specialist for the Miss Utah program workshop. The candidates include: Jolene Kaye Bagnall is the daughter of Lewis and Vivian Bagnall and is a graduate of Manti High School. She plans to attend Snow College this fall. Jolene has trained in ballet, jazz dance and on the clarinet and on the piano. She attended Girl s State, was a member ofthe drill team. Chamber Choir and has performed with the Central Utah Esther Chapman is a graduate of Manti High School and a daughter of Bert and Mary Ann Chapman. She has studied piano and voice, has been a cheerleader and has participated with singing and dance groups. She has been an assistant manager for a craft and wedding shop. Dahl, age 7, a Spring City youth, drowned on Thursday, August 8, 1991. The Sanpete County Sheriffs Department responded to the reported accident scene and with the Search and Rescue Dive Team, proceeded to search Strates Pond, about one mile west of Spring City. Other groups were called in to help find the boy. The Utah County Dive Team, a Rocky Mountain search dog team from Ogden, American Search Dogs, and Salt Lake County and J uab Search and Rescue also came to the scene to aid in the search. The decision was made to begin to drain the pond and the next day, Friday about 2:30 p.m., his body was recovered. Anthony is the son of Duane J. and Deborah Hope Dahl of Spring City. Services were held f in the Spring City LDS Ward on Tuesday, August 13, 1991 at noon. Interment was in the Spring City Cemetery, funeral directors were Buchanan Mortuary.
