Show Page 6 Mantl Messenger, Thursday, May 21, 1992 Obituary Ora Anderson Miller Ora Anderson Miller, 73, of Manti, our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away Sunday, May 17, 1992, at the home of her son, surrounded by her children. She was born October 21, 1918 to George and Georgina Anderson in Emery. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-daSaints. y She attended Snow College and received her teaching certificate from Utah State University, majoring in Home Economics. She taught for eight years at Junior High Schools in Sunnyside and Dragerton, Utah and also in Oregon. She married her sweetheart, Ellis01senMiller,October7, 1919 in the Manti LDS Temple. He preceded her in death March 23, 1987. They had three children. Ora had a zest for learning. She loved to read and was a talented cook and seamstress. She used her knowledge in home economics to create a warm and wonderful home for her family. She was a devoted mother, wife and homemaker. later on in her life she continued teaching even as a grandmother, encouraging her grandchildren to read and increase their knowledge. Her favorite pastime of late was crossword puzzles, and keeping up on current events. She had a gifted and active intellect. Sanpete and Sevier County youth, WE CARE team, help promote child abuse prevention. They have been tying blue ribbons on cars to remind others of the great need for preventing child abuse.
