Olsen, Richfield, was one of 355 delegates selected to attend Players who have participated to date include Weston Backus, Jon Cox, Brad Dyreng, Cory Hatch, Kent Hatch, Mark Johnson, Nathan Johnson, Alex Keeler, Clint Kj'ar, Sharon Kj'ar, Bert Liddell and Jackson Ogden. 14-1- 8. EngineeringState introduces students to the field of engineering in a way that is not available in most secondary education curricula. Each student was introduced to five areas of engineering through completion of 13 hands-ochallenge sessions. Students compete in rodeos throughout the state and must place to qualify for the state finals. Two reserve champions will participate in international Two reserve champions from Sanpete High School Rodeo Club International Rodeo which will be held in Fallon, Nev. on July 1-- 4. are preparingfor the Silver States Kendra Jensen, a daughter ofJohn and Kay Jensen ofManti, won reserve champion in the Utah High School Rodeo finals in cow cutting and will compete in cutting and goal tying. Kylan Oberg, son of Craig and Diann Oberg of Ephraim, won reserve champion in calf roping and team roping.. They will be competing against the top rodeo athletes from high schools in 37 states and three provinces of Canada. Rhodri Purcell gets Preston Devin Presbrey It was a first child, grandchild, and great grandchild for the Devin and Ginger Young Prisbrey family. Preston Devin was born in the Gunnison Valley Hospital, June 15th. He weighed 6 lbs 13 oz. and was 19" long. Grandparents are Gordon and Margery Young, Ephraim and Blaine and Karen Prisbrey of Gunnison. Great grandfather is Guy Young of Ephraim and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Carlton ofSalt Lake City. ne commission and graduates Rhodri L Purcell has earned a bachelors degree at Brigham Young University and was commissioned a Second Lieutenant through the Army ROTC program. Purcell is the son of Carl L. and Nan Purcell of Manti His wife, Anne, is the daughter of Curtis E. Morgan of Pleasanton, Calif. The new lieutenant is a 1986 graduate of Christian Liberty Academy, Prospect Heights, HI. Bryan D. Smith Peterson. She married Michael J. Graham on June 17, 1967 in Whittier, Calif. The marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple Sept. 19, 1980.
