The Gila Monsters had three early turnovers in the game, and Snow College capi- talized on two of them for touchdowns. The Badgers posted a 21-- 0 lead early on, that was never threatened. Joe Borich got things Rob Thomas on a pass play in the first quarter. Gary Perkins added to the score, just a minute later, when he went in from ten yards out to give the Badgers a 15-- 0 lead. Then everyone got into the act, as Borich continued to connect with five touchdown passes to five different receivers; Jared Ingersoll, Darren Nawahine, Lester Falatea and Eric Thompson. Seven girls from the Manti High School tennis team represented the Templars at the State 1A, 2A tournament held in Provo on Saturday. Amy Shand, Molly Petersen, Elizabeth Clayton, Stephanie Kjar, Erika Frischknecht, Stacy Hintze, and Holly Dyreng traveled to Provo to compete. Molly Petersen and Amy Shand came close to making the final round. After a derisive win over Stacey Sessions and Meleesa Brown ofMorgan, they played favorites Hillary Amor and Kendall Sumner of Salt Lakes Rowland HalL Playing well, and gaining momentum as the match progressed, they won the first set 3 and were ahead 1 in the second, only one point from victory.
