The present new show by Karen Buchanan Photos and Pots is the theme for the Manti Ait Gallery display during August and September. And what great discoveries have been made! There are many talented artists in Manti but who would have thought so many of them were artist The gallery presents a great feast for the eyes and the soul in the beautiful collection showing now. There are fabulous photos by both professional and amateur photographers, from scenery to close up shots of flowers, or photos of lightening or animals and a variety of subjects in between. The large variety makes it most difficult to describe all that we would like. Professional photographer, Lucien Bown shows several of his famous pictures of scenes from the Manti area; and in contract, a tender photo of a very old grave stone with one lone dandelion titled A Flower for Sarah, by Albert Antrei and a whimsical shot of a cow lying in a field with a large bird perched on its back, Serenity Among the Cow Patties, by Harlan Ashby. Pots are represented by Mary Wynch and LeRue Jennings, names familiar to gallery patrons who love their paintings but may not know of this other facet of their talent. Also, Marilyn Miller displays her wonderful collection of Japanese dolls and ginger pots. Gallery days have been extended to Tuesday thru Saturday and the gallery is open from 2 until 6 pan. each of those days. While you are visiting the city library, drop downstairs to the gallery and enjoy this art show.
