From urban Cf'f'rf,;;; f A high-ris- es near Chi- cago to quaint New England villages; suburban spreads near Dallas to California beaches, and now to Sanpete County. The unique Sunshine Generation program gives children and youth, ages three through teens, skills necessary to succeed as it stresses six major areas of development; singing, dance, voice culture, music theory, showmanship, and most important, selfesteem. Sunshine Generation believes that all children have talents that can be developed. With this program, students are taught correct performance techniques in weekly classes. Entertaining local audiences on a regular basis provides opportunities for children to gain showmanship. A childs grows as he realizes he has something wholesome and worthwhile to contribute. These skills will serve him fora life-- . self-estee- m Out young entertainers perform to professionally arrange, studio-recorde- d instrumental music produced exclusively for Sunshine Generation. Music styles that vary from pop and western to folk and Broadway also help give Sunshine Generation that special something. These watercolors will be on the main floor of the gallery from Aug. 1 8 through SepL 2 1 . Bevan has been a high school counselor for 34 years and painted on and off during that time. He now looks forward to retiring and painting fulltime. His subject matter reflects varied images of central Utah and should be of interest to Sanpete residents. Call Baker follows family tradition and earns Eagle Scout Award, July 23 Continuing a three generation tradition, Jay Baker, son of Roger and Pan Baker, of Ephraim received his Eagle Scout award July 23, at a Baker reunion. Jay has followed a precedent set by his older brothers Mark, Brian and Matthew and his father and grandfather. Grant Baker, all are Eagle Scouts. Jays Eagle service project involved the establishment of a church library for people in Galway, Ireland. Since there is no outlet in the Republic of Ireland for LDS Church books, Jay collected books and fixed each book with a check-ocard and sent a list of the books by author and title to the Galway branch along with the books. ut time. Mary Ann has had lots of experience in putting together childrens and youth choruses in both community and church groups. She has also taught dance, and drill team instruction. Her mother died in childbirth and her father, James, gave her to the Coopers. Anna Maria married Henry Reeder of Marriott, Utah.
