Show Messenger-Enterpris- Thursday, April 13, 1995 e, Page 3 Utah Ballet Company will perform at Snow College The Utah Ballet Company, the University of Utahs resident ballet troupe, under the artistic direction of Attila Ficzere, will perform at Snow College Crane Theatre April 21 at 7:30 p.m. The program showcases the companys highly acclaimed caliber and treats the audience to a night of fun and games, social commentary, escapism and romanticism. Utah sented by Snow College and Sanpete Arts Council and is sponsored by the Utah Arts Council Utah Performing Arts Tour. The evening program opens with two works by Victoria Morgan and Jacque Lynn Bell, both U. of U. alumni and national awardwinning choreographers whose works have been performed internationally. Utah 94: Painting, Sculpture and Mixed Media Traveling Exhibition represents works by the most accomplished Utah artists, selected from the statewide annual competition by the same name. This annual juried competition has been a tradition since 1899 and was established for the purpose of acquiring artworks for a permanent state fine arts collection. The State Fine Arts Collection now consists of over 1200 works by Utah artists of all media. Utah 94 was organized and 1 will complete the program. Morans Viva Vivaldi is a delightfully funny spoof on human nature set to Antonio Vivaldis Double Violin Concerts. Inextricably Linked, a bold combination of ballet and modern dance by Bell, explores the entanglements of 23 dancers with music by demonstration of the intricate footwork and radiant joy that characterize the lively Italian tarantella folk dance. Music is by Gustav Helsted and Holger Simon Paulli and costume design by Marina Harris.
