Tickets are $3.50 for adults National Forest is the Great Basin Environmental Education Center. This center was originally built many years ago as a Civilian Conservation Corps project. For . many years, the center went un used and fell into disrepair. But then a joint project of the U.S. Forest Service and Snow College saved the center. It is now used as an environmental education center for students at Snow College and from around the area. Because the center had been in disrepair for so many years, much of it has needed reconstruction. The Ephraim Rotary Club volunteered to reconstruct the centers amphitheater. The amphitheater seats approximately 200 people and has a cement stage. The Rotary Club has worked within the community to find donations of lumber, paint, nails and labor to rebuild the amphitheater. This is just one of many projects of the Ephraim Rotary Club. In December the Rotary Club was a cosponsor for the Ephraim Festival of the Pinatas. The Festival of Pinatas is an opportunity for our community to reunite in the Christmas spirit to promote understanding and raise money for needy children. Pinatas are constructed by local citizens and businesses then donated to the cause. People then buy the pinatas. The Rotary Club donated a pinata and some cash to the project. Proceeds from the event will who help local needy children wish to participate in city sored athletic events but who can- not afford the registration fees. Each year the Ephraim Rotary Club also sponsors a Senior Citi- zens Christmas Dinner, Youth BusinesslaSE3 P Ascen-Theat- re Achievement Awards to honor cal high school students, and the Award which The Snow College performing honors a local citizen for hisher 11,12, and 15.
