Thats because.the street has been designated Templar Way, in ''('"orof Manti High Scho. l. v hid, is located on that sttcct. (iune are the old green and white signs proclaiming the street, 5th North Street. They have been replaced by very attractive signs all done up in MHS school colors, red and was recently approved by the Manti City Council on the condition that the new signs would contain both the new and old names Mrs. Karen Schiffman, a college English teacher at Manti High School, had the following to say concerning the change, I love to look up at the new sign everyday when I come to work. I think that its really neat! Mr. Les Good, the chemistry and physics teacher at Manti High School, when asked his opinion of the renaming of the street stated, Many great people have graduated from MHS, who have made a name for themselves in this world. I think that they will be really proud to come back to Manti, and see that the school has been recognized by a sign designating the road that leads to their old h igh school. As a student at Manti High School, I think that the change is for the street. According to Mr. Stokes, this change will help identify the significance of Manti High School in this area, and it will provide a real boost to school spirit great, and would especially like to give thanks to all those who made it possible.
