Delila attended Snow College in in December 1855. About 700 Indians encamped in the hills around Manti that November of 849. As we know, that first winter was a difficult one with only 130 cattle out of 240 surviving. The dead carcasses were given to the 1 Indians, ho considered the w w hite people wonderfully generous in giving them beef and keeping the pish kicks (biscuits) for themselves. The Indians were unhappy, however, in having their lands taken away from them by the white people, which resulted in cattle stealing, massacres and wars for some 25 sears. As a result of Indian depredations, many forts were built and the pioneers lived in fear and guarded themselves and their cattle very carefully. After the Blaekhawk War, a peace treaty was signed and the pioneers and Indians lived on more friendly terms. Then I found out that if I leaned back in my recliner (I do that occasionally). I couldn't see the TV with my bifocals, and the sun glasses were too dark for inside, so I had to have a pair of single-visio- n glasses with my regular prescription. So I would up with four pair of spectacles. Now, of course, the problem is having the right pair on at the right time. Its not uncommon for me to have to grab for at least two pair before I get the right one. If its a pretty girl, I the is dont until she generally get right glasses gone. So, if you walk in our office door and I look up and dont recognize you its probably because I have on the reading glasses and I have to quickly change to the ones. Most of the TV commercials are geared to the mentality. One particular one forced me to think How stupid do you think I am? It was about the mixer for your favorite drink. This commercial says that because over two-thirof your drink is mixer, that the taste of the drink is determined by the mixer. To w hich I can only say, Hogwash! Its the rot-gthat ou put in the other third that determines the taste.
