Citizens who are interested in becoming actively involved in any of the many activities that support the library and library programming are encouraged to come into the library to sign up; or call the library at that time 283-454- 4. In previous years. Friends of the Library have raised funds to purchase computer equipment, have sponsored story times, and have sponsored author nights at the library. The annual used book sale at the Scandinavian Festival is managed by the Friends of the Library. Last year, the Friends of the Library purchased a laminating machine. The proceeds from lamination go for prizes which may be earned for reading in the Book Worm Club.
