She was reared and educated in Tremonton, and with the exception of two years in Sait Lake City, she resided in the Bear River Valley all of her life. Rebecca was the first telephone op- erator in the Bear River Valley. She had been president of the Box Elder County Fair Board for 25 years and also worked on the Utah State Fair Board and was active in the Box Eider County Farm Bureau. She was a member of the Tremonton 1st LDS Ward, serving in the past as Relief Society President in three different wards, Elwood, Tremonton 2nd, and Tremonton 1st and was Stake Re- lief Society President of the Bear River Stake. She had also served as a visiting teacher and YWMIA Worker. Surviving are two sons and one daughter and their spouses, Jay and Mary Ellen Mortensen, Las Vegas, Nev.; Jean and Glen Hill, Weiser, Idaho; Rex Mortensen, St. Louis, Missou- grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. ed her in death eight years ago. She and her husband built and owned a summer home at Christmas Meadows where they spent many summer days with family and friends. Her life has been spent in sharing her great musical talents with others. For many years she sang in the Rose Chapel Trio, singing at funerals, church, and civic groups throughout the area. They also sang on KLO radio for about one year. In addition she sang solo’s whenever invited. She was a member of the LDS Singing Mother's Choir that participated at the dedication of the Hyde Park Chapel in London, England and toured throughout the British Isles and France in concert. The last few years of her life she was a member of the Single Adult Tri-Valley Choir. She was a member of the LDS Church and served in many ward and stake positions, mostly in the music ar6a, but also served in some leadership positions. They were later divorced of Edwin Harry later FIELDING — Lynn Wood Allred, 48, died Wednesday, July 29, 1992, in Tremonton of heart failure. He was born June 8, 1944, in Logan, a son of Claud McKay and Isabeil OGDEN — Jayne L. Wright died Thursday, July 30, 1992 after a long illness. She was the sweetest, loveliest and most caring lady. Mrs. Halford had lived in College Ward (West Logan), Twin Falis, Idaho; Smithfield, Plymouth, Portage, and moved to Garland Oct. 9, 1964. She received her diploma from Bear River High School in 1969. She had worked as a custodian of the ‘Portage LDS Ward and as a Nurse's Aide at the Valley Hospital in Tremonton. She had been Vice Pres. of the Portage PTA and was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and AARP. She will always be remembered for the beautiful quilts and hand- iwork she created for her children and grandchildren. Martha was a member of the LDS Church and had served as a Primary teacher, and visiting teacher. Surviving are three sons and one daughter and their spouses, Marc LaVar and Odean McCann, Smithfield; Rosalye and LaVar Smith, Kearns; Wendell Dee and Sharon McCann, Garland; John Edwin and Bonnie Rae Clark, North Ogden; 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; one sister, Elsie Fay B. (Herbert) Hendershot, Nampa, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her husband, a grandson, Darren McCann, six brothers and onesister. Funeral services will be held Monday, 1 p.m. at the Garland Ward Chapel with Bishop Steve Butler, Officiating. Friends may call Sunday 6 to 8 p.m. at Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home, 111 N. 100 E., Tremonton and Monday 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Burial in the Logan City Cemetery. He was co-owner of Allred Bros. Painting and was a memberof the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Bear River Valley Cutter Racing Assn. and a past member of Painters Local 22 in Ogden. He was a member of the Fielding LDS Ward and had served a mission in England. Surviving are his wife and mother, both of Fielding; one step-son and wife, Jason Scott and Jodie Teeter, Brigham City; one grandchild; one brother and three sisters and spouses, Claud McKay and Jena Allred, Tremonton; Jean Holdaway, Bothwell; Ranae and Harlan Taylor, Pleasant View; YvonneAllred, Fielding. She worked for Defense Depot Ogden during World War li. She was an excellent bowler, skater and dancer. She was a hospital pink lady for twelve years, a scout mother, a Cub Scout leader, a Primary teacher and Sunday School teacher. She was a great wife and mother. She spent many years caring for her sisters and neighbor. She married Raymond C. Wright in Houston, Texas on November3, 1943. They had three children. Surviving are her husband of Ogden, two children, Steven Wright and Mrs. Robert (Jill) Scovel, of Ogden; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers and one sister, Elmo Longstroth, Ogden; Lt. Col. (Ret.) Gil Longstroth, Boise, Idaho; Annabelle Sneddon, Las Vegas, Nevada. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Charlotte.
