WINNERS in the Miss Pink Tomato contest at Hooper Tomato Days were queen, Angel Stenquist (right) ; first Tomato Days Comidudle Wish Labor Day Eveonfis HOOPER Hooper Tomato Days closed Monday with a rodeo in the evening following a full schedule of activities which began at 8:30 a.m. Highlights of the day included a baby show, tractor driving, judging of produce, livestock, and crops, Miss Pink Tomato contest, talent find, dog show, ballgames and demonstrations and exhibits. Winners in the Miss Pink Tomato contest for girls 2 to 6 years old, were queen, Angel Stenquist, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Claine Stenquist of Roy; first attendant, Emily Baldwin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Parley Baldwin of Roy, and second attendant, Melissa Cleverly, daughter of Debra Cleverly, Also, Jessica Shaw, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Doug Shaw; Tara McKay, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul McKay; Shanda Christensen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Christensen; Rhonda Anderson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ogden. Princesses were named in each age Hartley Anderson, Hooper; Sherrail group. They are: Stephanie Fowers, Heslop, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Doug daughter of Don and Jan Fowers of Heslop, and Cristin Belnap, daughter of Hooper; Bobbidee Brown, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Belnap of Hooper. Talent show winner in the senior Mr. and Mrs. Garth Browth; Michelle Venable, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. division was the Country Bumpkin Mike Venable, Hooper. Cloggers dance group, consisting of Taylor, Susan Burraston, Allan Stevenson and Floyd Simpson, who performed a clog dance. Intermediate division winner was Jana Johnson who presented a piano number. Tton Gibson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Gibson of West Weber, won the junior division award with a humorous reading. LaMar Taylor of North Ogden was named Cookout King in competition which involved barbequeing a number of different dishes. Mike Bachman, also Wendy of North Ogden, won showmanship award. Winners in the baby show were named in each of three age groups. Named king in the 18 to age group was Cody Jim Wayment, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Wayment of Warren, with Natalie Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Smith of Riverdale, who was named queen. In the 9 to age group, Bryan Bingham, son of Mr. and Mrs. Eldin Bingham of Hooper was crowned prince, while the title of princess was given to Shawna Gordon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Gordon of North Ogden. Brooke Gentry, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Gentry of Roy, was named princess in the 9 months old and th younger group. David Bruce Taylor, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Taylor of Hooper was named prince. Hayley Jo Simpson, daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Don Simpson of Hooper was named Miss Personality, while Jordan Jeppson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Brent Jeppson received the title of Mr. Personality. Belnap Inc. rolled over Weber-Ogde- n 1 in a league baseball game Monday. Some 300 ribbons were presented to youth and adult exhibits in a variety of divisions from crops and canned goods to industrial arts and livestock. Children from throughout Weber County exhibited their pets in an open dog show.
