FARMINGTON The Davis County School Board has changed the travel policy for the individual schools within the district. The Board voted to remove the limit on the maximum number of trip requests a individual school within the district may make. Superintendent Lawrence Welling supported the measure saying it would make it just as effective and streamline the procedure. In addition the time limit on when the requests should be received was left in place. It was also recommended that the instructors not be allowed to discuss a trip with the students until it had received its approval from the board. The revised policy was passed unanimously. Other business for the evening included the approval of the Bountiful Elementary Schools request for preparation time for its teachers. This measure will give the children two hours less classroom time a week to allow the teachers a period to prepare materials in. ' led a Superintendent Welling discussion on the tax limitation issues that will be on the ballot in the upcoming election. Mrs., Sheryl Allen moved that the board go on record as strongly opposing the tax limitation proposals A and B. This received unanimous support from the board. The board, upon recommendation of Assistant Superintendent John S. White, appointed the firm of Carpenter and Stringham for the Stewart Elementary School addition.
