George Hoffman asked the council Tuesday to approve a resolution to revise preliminary plans for Willow Farms, plat D, after he learned that 3.5 acres in the proposed subdivision consists of peat moss which does not provide a solid enough base for a home. The subdivision is located on 400 West between 1500 and 1700 North. Hoffman proposed eliminating 11 lots in the original preliminary plan and part of one street to allow for larger lots, nearly one-haacre, which would lf MIXING UP a special entry for the Davis County Homemakers Fair are Rusty Price, 6, and his sister Kathy, 8, of Layton. They are members of the Club which will be participating in the fair Pals have room for a home on solid ground, with the peat moss farther back on the lot. He said the larger lots would sell for about $35,000. Councilman Dale Ford said he would be in favor of approving the change in the plan if provision was made to prevent any building until adequate drainage was installed for each lot. You cant drain peat moss, he said. Drains will have to be installed under the basement of each home." Ford recommended attaching notes concerning soil and compaction tests to the approved plat and make sure all work is done before any building permit is issued for the area. The council approved the resolution for the plat changes. Mayor Golden L. Allen directed that the original plat should be attached to trhe revised plan for reference. One of the main functions of the disc is to act as a shock absorber. Sometimes when we receive a fall or jolt, the shock transmitted to the spinal column is too abilgreat for the spines ity, causing slippage of the bones (verteb-- , rae) from normal relationship with each other. When this happens, if the disc pressure is in the neck area, it could cause pain and numbness in the shoulder, arm and hand. Many doctors are quick to say back pain is caused by a slipped disc. Disc trouble does occur, but far less frequently than diagnosed.
