Norman M. Elliott, 13, son of Max and Margaret Elliott, 923 S. 200 E., received his Eagle Scout award during a special sacrament service in the Farmington IDS Fourth Ward. To Norman, the Eagle Scout award is the greatest achievement of his life so far but a close second is his second place medal received in the Cottonwood Mall 6.2 mile run. He became interested in running when he was working on his personal fitness merit badge. Norman runs three miles one day and five miles the next. His father has begun running with him. He has found that the merit badges he has worked on have helped him even after he has finished the project. He enjoys the animal house he made while working on his mammal merit badge. For his Eagle project, he built a 2x3 foot scout showcase to put the pictures and names of troop Duty to God and Eagle recipients. Norman looks forward to working toward a palm, and attending Davis High in the fall. In Sundays LDS Farmington 4th Wards sacrament meeting services, Daniel H. Wilson, 16, son of Hubert and Bonnie Wilson of 247 S. 650 W., received his Eagle Scout award. Danny has learned the most from his emergency prepardness merit badge. It taught him a great deal about survival and what to do in an emergency. For his Eagle project, he repaired the hymn books in his wards chapel. The books that could not be repaired were discarded and he took some of his personal money and some of the troops money and purchased new ones.
