The barn has been divided into three dining levels with the loft offering a wonderful view of the mountains. It was the Peterson familys idea to turn the barn into a restaurant. The barn was built in 1939 by Rulon Peterson and was used to store hay and straw for the Peterson Brothers Herefords. The herefords were moved out of Roy in 1975 because of rapid growth in the area and plans were made to turn the barn into a restaurant. Rulons son Lowell was in charge of getting the barn ready for the decorators. Level Two in Salt Lake City was hired to do the decorating. The restaurant is managed by Dennis and Mary Lee Voss, former residents of Salt Lake City. Voss had a career in graphic designs before he joined his wife to manage the restaurant. Mrs. Voss had been giving cooking lessons for several years but had a j dream to have her own restaurant. She was delighted j when Wayne Peterson approached her for this fob. The Voss have three children and live in Herefordshire. They take turns working at the restaurant and tending to matters at home. Each table at the restaurant is serviced by four waiters: a captain, middle waiter, kitchen waiter and bus boy. The menu includes steak, chicken, seafood, prime rib, burgers and sandwiches.
