This summer; it will be finishing touch in the full agenda of activities planning for Orangeville Day. Scheduled for June 17, the celebration vs ill bring together famihes to participate in parades, games, entertainment, and pageants. Orangeville Day is considered a kind of homecoming, where families who have left the area can come back and enjoy an small town party and renew acquaintances with old friends. This year planners are working on a classic car show, the Third Annual ATV Poker Run (to register contact Richard Stilson, the Miss Orangeville softball, Pageant, pitch, hit and run, three on three basketball, a horseshoe pitch, hockey game, safety event for kids, games, concessions, entertainment, and a parade at 10 a.m. RJ the Clown will being visiting the celebration, and there will be a drawing for a Huffy Mountain Bike. Other activities are still be finalized. For information about any of them, contact Carol Ware. In conjunction with Orangeville Day, the City of Orangeville will once again be hosting its annual Miss Orangeville Pageant on June 7, at Emery High School. The Jr. Miss Contestants are: Kira Marie Humphrey. Kira is 748-2281- ), the daughter of Micheal and Vicki Humphrey. She is the second of six children. She enjoys dancing, reading, singing, sports, and having fun in the great outdoors. She also enjoys taking trips, and going on long hikes with her family. Kira is very active in her church, and is the second counselor in her Mia Maid class. She also sings in the ward choir. She would like to serve a mission, and be married in the Temple. Kira will enter the ninth grade this fall at San Rafael Junior High, where she is a member of the drill team. She was on the Honor Roll her entire 8th grade year. Kiras future plans include high school graduation, college, and a degree in Pediatric Medicine. Kira is the granddaughter of Tom and Grace Humphrey and Celeste Lute, the of Jane and the late Walter Heininger all of Orangeville. Kari Lyn Sharp. Kari is the daughter of Allan and Vickie Sharp. She likes to dance, ride go to the lake, play the piano, and spend time with her family and friends. Brittany Suzanne Stokes. My name is Brittany Stokes. I was bom in Price, on Oct. 24, 1987 to Suzy and Clark Stokes. I have two sisters, Miranda age eight, and Shailee age six. I am I like dancing, singing, and softball. My favorite subject in school is Math. 1 am having great-granddaught- er I fun in this Jr. Miss Orangeville Pageant. Jasha Hinkins. Jasha is the daughter of Todd and ld Nadene Hinkins. She enjoys playing the piano and the saxophone. She also likes to sing and dance. In her spare time she likes to hang out with her friends and go camping and hunting with her family. Jasha is the youngest of four children. Her grandparents are Delile and Elda Hinkins, Jethro Majors, and LaRae Majors. Jasha will perform a vocal solo for her talent. Doralie Wright. Doralie is the daughter of Leo and Gareldine Wright. She has three brothers and two sisters. Doralie is going into the eighth grade at San Rafael Jr. High where she is a cheerleader. She enjoys hanging out with friends and family. Her hobbies include dancing and scrapbooking. Doralie is excited to be a contestant in the Jr. Miss Orangeville Pageant. Chelsi Grace Humphrey. Chelsie is the daugh- ter of Micheal and Vicki Humphrey. She is the third oldest child in her family. For two days every year she is the same age as her older sister, which both girls feel is very unfair. Her favorite things to do are dancing, singing, roller blading, drawing, painting, and reading. Chelsi has just finished the seventh grade at San Rafael Junior High where she is a member of the Drill Team. Chelsi is active in the LDS church where she earned her Gospel in Action award. She is the first counselor in her Beehive Class presidency, and sings in the ward choir. She would like to someday be married in the same temple as her parents. Chelsie is the granddaughter of Tom and Grace Humphrey and Celeste Lute, the of Jane and the great-granddaught- er late Walter Heininger all of Orangeville. Penny Karen Sitterud. Penny is the ld person. She Lkes to talk on the phone, hang out with her friends, go walking, and play on the computer. Anna is excited about getting her driver's bcence, and would someday like to be a nurse. Anna has one little sister who loves her very much. Anna was A the 2nd attendant at both the and Jr Miss Emery County Pageants last year Jr. Miss Orangeville, Erin Jeppson. Erin is the daughter of Steve and Shelly Jeppson. She Lkes to sing, dance, and write just about anything. She hopes to be the English Sterling Scholar her Senior year. She has won many awards for her literature. Erin wants to marry a returned missionary in the Salt Lake Temple, after finishing four ld Brittney Stokes Kari Sharp years of college to earn her Bachelors Degree. Erin is a girl, and all she do in her best to hopes does. McKette Cox. McKette is the daughter of Bart and Marilee Cox. She will be a Junior at Emery High in the fall. She loves to dance, and has been a member of the Spardettes for two years. She will be the Jr. Vice President for the Spardettes this coming year. She loves to work with handicapped children. McKette has been a councilman on the Youth City Council for two years. Brandi Lee Daley. Hi, my name is Brandi Lee Daley. I am I am the daughter of Mike Daley, and Colleen Wood. I was bom in Cottonwood Hospital Medical Center in Murray, at 2:31 a.m., on Oct. 21, 1984. I have blonde hair and blue eyes. I am going to be in tenth grade. I have spent my whole life in Castle Dale and Orangeville. I have one full brother Josh Daley, 18, one Casey Wood, 9, two step Brother Nick Daley, 18, and Eric Wood, fun-spirit- half-broth- 24, one step-sist- Jasha Hinkins er Amanda er Doralie Wright Martha Mower Anna Miles Stacy Clarke. Stacy is the daughter of Henry and Janice the SRJH drill team, and is currently on the EHS cheerleading three sisters and one brother. Stacy enjoys dancing and performing, and she has been doing both since she was Last year she was on squad. Stacy wants to some day attend a school for the performing arts. Her dream is to become a professional choreographer and dance teacher. daughter of Kirk and Karen Sitterud. She loves to be involved with just about anything that is going on. She likes to write stories and perform in plays. She loves to dance, and takes drill from f W" f Nadine Hinkins. Pennys favorite subject in school is Language Arts, and she is looking forward to going to San Rafael Jr. High in the Fall. Winners of the poster contest were: 1st place - Caleb Jones 2nd place - Jake Clement 3rd place - Kennedy Nelson Essay contest winners were as follows: Elementary Division - Cade Whittle, 1st place Jr. High Division - Cierra Jones, 1st place High School Division - Janell Seely, 1st place; Jessica Humphrey, 2nd place; Melinda Wells, 3rd place. Adult Division - Cassie Jones, 1st place; Collette Clement, 2nd place Winners in each division received plaques and checks at individual school recognition programs. Emery County Farm Bureau officials are also extremely proud to announce that Cassie Jones and Janell Seely both won 1st place in the state essay contest.
