There were also dozens of volunteers not affiliated with any organization but who only wanted to come and help. As the day grew longer and the work was wrapped up, volunteers were treated to dinner by the Sheriff's Posse and music Martin Tyner of the Southwest Wild-lif-e Foundation was on hand with a Golden Eagle named Bud and a Harris Hawk. The organization helped nurse the Peregrine falcon returned to the wild back to health after it had become entangled in a barbed-wir- e fence. While onlookers gathered to get a closer, look at the Golden Eagle, Tyner spoke of the birds and their place in nature. As volunteers finished their meals they were congratulated for the work they had done during the day.
