Show IB Emery County Progress Castle Dale, Utah Tuesday November 5, 2002 Emery County ' Emery Cross Country Competes at Region and State The Emery High Cross Country teams competed in the region meet Oct. 23 at North Sanpete. Jacob Bawden finished 6th securing an Ail Region place and qualifying for State with a time of 17.45. He has posted one of the fastest times for a sophomore at Emery High for quite a while. The next finishers for the Spartans were Ryan Jensen at 19th with 19:14: 22nd Dillon Hickok, 19.25; 24th Chandler Tanner 19 31; 29th Curt Jensen 20.37; 30th Chris Ouzts 20.38; 31st Newt Jensen 20.40; 4 1st Stevie Stream 21.51; 44th Taylor Jensen 22.32; 50th Brandon Singleton 23.25, and 52nd Sam Doria 24.58. These boys improved by two minutes more from the first time they ran the course. The girls did very well also; Misha Addley w as 23rd in 26.08, 33rd Bethany Wright 28. 7 and 34th Crimson Single-to- n 1 30 07. The team scores were Lehi 32, Carbon 48, North Sanpete 62, Emery 94, and Delta 119. A great honor was giv en to Crimson Singleton and Curt Jensen by being selected to the Academic All State team. The Emery High Cross Country Teamconsisted of Misha Addley, Bethany Wright, Ry an Jensen, Dillon Hickok, Chandler Tanner, Curt Jensen, Newt Jensen, Taylor Jensen, Chris Ouzts, Branden Single-ton, Stevie Stream, Dustin Hansen, Crimson Singleton and Jacob Bawden. Jacob Bawden competed at the state meet at Sugarhouse Park in Salt Eake City and place 70th out of 120 competitors with a time of 18.33 for the 3.1 mile race. Crimson Singleton. Chandler Tanner, Ryan Jensen and Curt Jensen participate at region. Emery runners took to the cross country course in North Sanpete.
