Show JULY 20, 1983 Services Held For MISSIONARIES OPJTimq Arnold Thurgood the Utah State Road Commission for 27 years. HE HAD been a member of the West Point LDS 2nd Ward, serving as a high priest. He was a temple worker in both the Ogden and Salt Lake LDS Swaner Rites ; Dean K. Swaner, age 72, of Farmington, died July 5, 1983 at a Bountiful hospital. BORN Feb. 5, 1911 at Salt Lake City, to Rueben Francis and Amelia Cast Swaner. Married Eva Wood Aug. 30, 1934 at Salt Lake City. The marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Interment in the Farming-to- n City Cemetery. N. West Point, died July 14, 1983, at a Clearfield nursing home. HE WAS bom Jan. 13,1906, in Syracuse, a son of William O. and Elias Jane Kynston Thurgood. He married Ellen Beus Oct. 10, 1929, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. HE HAD lived in Syracuse and West Point his entire life. He had been a lifelong farmer and had also worked for Tuttle Dies At 64 A. Allen Andrew Tuttle, 64, of 138 Layton; Vira Adams Bues, Syracuse; 34 grandchildren, 53 and one great Bishop Robert L. Bird, Layton 6th Ward, officiated; Ardell Adams, Family Prayer; Prelude and Postlude by George Rytting; Musical selections, E. Harris Adams acc. by Kathryn Firth. INVOCATION by Lane K. SHE WAS bom Jan. 19, 1899 in Syracuse, a daughter of John Thomas and Elizabeth Jane Wood Knighton. On Dec. 19, 1917, she married Edgar Fanning Adams in the Salt Lake Temple. He died May 23, 1968. SHE WAS a retired civil service employee. She had worked at the Naval Supply Depot and at Hill AFB. She had lived in Clearfield and Layton for the past 32 years. She was a member of the Layton 6th LDS Ward and had served in the Relief Society and other auxiliaries. SURVIVING ARE five sons and two daughters, E. Rex Lynwood Drive, Clear- field, died July 15, 1983, at St. Benedicts Hospital of cancer. HE WAS bom Nov. 4, 1918, in Cheyenne, Wyo., a son of Andrew Allen and Laura Rose Smith Tuttle. He married Wanda Hoover May 29, 1938, later divorced. He married Bettie Shinn Young Sept. 25, 1954, in Cheyenne, Wyo. HE HAD worked as a pipefitter and welder for Associated Piping of Clearfield. He retired in 1983. He had been a member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Union Local No. 348. He was also a member of the Ogden Eagles and had served with the U.S. Army during World War II. HE HAD lived in Ogden, Denver, Colo., and in Clearfield for the past nine years. He attended Ogden City schools. Invocation by LaMar Sessions, remarks were given by Bishop Carl D. Thurgood, a Lifes Sketch was given by Jay T. Thurgood, a son. Musical selection , A Medley of Favorite Selection, by grandchildren, directed by Shyrilyn Buckway and acc. by Jolene Jackson. SPEAKERS WERE President Vern B. Thurgood. A violin selection was rendered by Lesa Stephenson, a granddaughter and acc. by Jolene Jackson. The benediction was given by John P. Graves and the grave was dedicated by Weslie Barton. Pallbearers were Leonard J. Stephenson, Allen C. Gailey, David T. Barton, Lane Stephenson, Allen T. George, (Anne) Erickson, Centerville; one step son, Robert Young, Honolulu, Hawaii. He worked with metals and liked weight lifting.
