Show 1 DECEMBER 9, 1982 OPJTUgM Ray Rogers Dies In Auto Accident at Boise, Ida. for one year each prior to leaving for California. SURVIVING are his parents of Layton, one brother and two sisters, Guy Rogers, Mrs. Rex (Norma Jean) Williams and Dawn Rogers, all of Layton. Funeral services w'ere conducted on Wednesday, Nov. 24, 1982 at 1 p.m. at Lindquists Clearfield Chapel, with Bishop Douglas Cornaby of the Layton 11th Ward officiating. FAMILY prayer was given by Harold Rogers; prelude and postlude music, Jeane Day; trio, In the Garden by Pat RAY ROGERS Ray A. Rogers, 24, was killed in an automobile accident recently in California, where he was attending school and expected to graduate in early spring. ROGERS was the son of LaVell W. and Norma Hymas Rogers of 365 Owens St., Layton. He was attending a computer school in Los Angeles, at the time of the accident, and had been there for the past two years. He was a graduate of Layton High School in 1976, attended the University of Utah and also the Idaho State University Hansen, Rhea Weber and Caroline Brimhall, accompanied by Jeane Day; invocation, Karl King; remarks. Bishop Douglas Cornaby; speakers, Rulon Brinkerhoff and Blair Jensen; musical selection, Carol Brimley Not Now, But in the Coming Years accompanied by Jeane Day; benediction, Harold Rogers. Dedication of the grave was by Billy Hymas with interment in the Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch. PALLBEARERS were Rex Williams, Gary Statton, Ray Lee Hymas, Guy Rogers, Ray Hovey and Steve Rosenb-lum- e. Flowers were cared for by the Layton Uth Ward Relief Society, vsb Vernon Woolsey Succumbs At 76 Vernon (Vern) Woolsey, 76, of 136 S. 2nd East, Kaysville, died Wednesday, Dec. 1, 1982 in the Davis North Hospital in Layton. MR. WOOLSEY was bom 11, 1906 in Randolph, a son of John Richard June Utah, and Florence Ann Lusk Woolsey. He was married to Eunice M. Stone on August 26, 1933 in Salt Lake City. HE HAD been a printer and advertising manager at the Inland Printing Company for 51 years and retired in 1976. He lived most of his life in Kaysville and graduated from Davis High School. He was a mem--bof the Kaysville 2nd LDS Ward serving as a High Priest. He was a former chief of the Kaysville Volunteer Fire Department. er SURVIVING are his widow of Kaysville, one son and two daughters, Richard S. Woolsey, Kaysville; Mrs. Monty (Betty Ann) Johnson, Tualatin, Ore.; and Mrs. Gary W. (Patricia) Barlow, Layton 13 grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary Chapel. Burial was in the Kaysville City Cemetery. and BISHOP L.D. Covington, Kaysville 2nd Ward, officiated. SHE WAS born May 27, 932, in St. Catharines, ntario, Canada, a daughter of orris William and Mildred lberta Pamall Tayler. She married Reed Herman eilson on July 31, 1952 in the ogan LDS Temple. d SHE WAS reared and in Ontario, Canada, and oved to Salt Lake City in edu-tte- 50. She had worked for the ood Motor Co. in Ogden and ed M. Nye Co. in Ogden. In 70 she started working for sen Chevrolet in Layton. ie retired in 1982. SHE WAS a member of the irmington Junior Literary iib. She was a member of the Ward. rmington 7th LDS had served in the Relief p Society Presidency and MIA Presidency in the Layton 5th Ward. She had been a Primary teacher and Sunday School teacher. SURVIVING are her husband of Farmington; one son and three daghters, David Reed Neilson, Kaysville; Mrs. Jeff (Sherry N.) Jasperson, Mrs. Rod (Lisa N.) Barton, both of West Valley; Mrs. Larry (Laurie N.) Belnap, Clearfield; six grandchildren. Also surviving are her parents of Salt Lake City; four sisters, Mrs. Ray (Joan T.) Rhead, Ogden; Mrs. John (Jackie T.) Starkie, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Jim (Donna T.) Kearns, Albuquerque, New Mexico; Mrs. Boyd (Yvonne T.) Hammond, Idaho Falls, Ida. FUNERAL services were conducted Monday, Nov. 29 at the Chapel of Flowers Mortuary in Ogden with Bishop Jerry King of the Farmington 7th Ward officiating. Interment was in the Aultorest Memorial Park in Ogden. |
