Adams recently celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. They met in Layton where Mrs. Adams, the former Vilate Aplanalp, taught school. She grew up in MR. AND MRS. She has been a member of the Layton City Planning Board; a delegate to the Salt Lake County Convention; a registration agent in Layton for eight years and active in the LDS Church holding many church positions. Mr. Adams is a native of Layton. He attended Ogden High School. Each morning his father would take him, his sister, Elgie, and his brother, Golden, to the Banberger stop to ride into Ogden to attend high school. He later attended the U. of U. and fulfilled an LDS mission in New York. He was one of the original team of missionaries to start the Hill Cumorah Pageant. He is a former member of the Layton Kiwanis Club and a charter member of the Layton Rotary Club. He was watermaster for the Sill and Adams Ditch Co. for ten years. ANSW ERS TO BIBLE VERSE 1. Main in Layton weekdays from 9:30-5:3- L HIS younger days, Mr. Adams was a member of the Davis County Sheriffs pos-seHe rode with this group for ten years and participated in many parades and horse show events. He has worked many hours in the scouting program and while camping with scouts in the Wind River region he chopped some wood and injured his eye. He has participated in many prize winning LDS Church dramas and dance competitions. He has served in various capacities in the LDS Church. Diamond and Vilate Adams were married in the LDS Tem- e. Corless-Stevens- on Kay lene Corless and Eric C. Stesenson were married July 16. 1982 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple with Selvoy J. Boyer officiating. THE BRIDE is the daughter of Ralph J. and Shirley Corless of Kaysville. The groom is the son of W. Roy and Pat Stevenson of Fruit Heights. Following the ceremony an outdoor wedding breakfast was held at the home of the grooms parents. A garden reception honored the new- lyweds that evening at the historic Eldredge House in Bountiful. THE BRIDE wore a dress of scalloped French imported chantilly lace over qiana. The Victorian style bodice featured chiffon sleeves puffed to the elbow and tapered to the wrist with a w ide lace band and edged with a pleated chiffon ruffle which matches the stand-u- pleated collar. The p collar was edged in lace and g seed pearls. The skirt of lace to the knee had an underskirt of pleated chiffon of edged in narrow lace. She carried a bouquet of gardenias, stephanotis and ivy form-fittin- floor-lengt- h with white satin ribbon streamers. Attending the bride were Keri Lynn Corless, maid of honor; Mrs. Mark L. (Dantzel) Wall and Jessica Stevenson, flower girl. They were dressed shirtwaist style in street-lengtdresses in border print of mauve and teal blue flowers on They a white background. carried wicker fans with silk h teal blue roses, mauve snow flake flowers, baby breath with green ivy gathered at the handle with satin ribbons of teal blue, mauve and white lace. THE BRIDES mother wore dress in a chiffon street-lengt- h teal blue. She wore a silk corsage of mauve roses and baby breath. The groom's mother dress in wore a mauve and wore a silk corsage of teal blue roses and baby breath. The groom's grandmother dress of wore a street-lengt- h teal blue and a silk corase of mauve roses and baby breath. BEST MAN duties were performed by Willy Stevenson. BOTH GRADUATED from Davis High School. Kaylene graduated from WSC in interior design and is employed at New Concept Furniture in Layton. Eric attends WSC this fall in the field of business. He has fulfilled an LDS mission to Alabama. He is employed at Tom Randall Distributing. The newlyweds honeymooned in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and will reside in Layton.
