Citizens Committee Orgranized To Solicit Swimming Pool Donations citizens committee has been organized for the purpose of soliciting donations for the construction of a swimming A pool in Ka s ille. The commit- tee is headed b Margaret Brough, lean Lincoln and Mary Parker. HAE THEY met with the Kaysville City Council and asked if they raise 1200.000 for the building of a swimming pool, if the city would take over management of the pool and furnish the ground for it. The city has agreed to do this. 1 he will be done in several ways: fund-raisin- THh BLSIMESS community: Del Larkins, chairman w ith Richard Bushness as vice chairman. These men will contact all businesses for donations. Currently they are planning an "ugly legs" campaign for the men in the busi- ness community Pictures will be taken of the various men's legs in the business community and these pictures will be displayed through the city with a bottle lor votes. The legs whi ch receive the most votes w ill w in. The v otes. of course will be in the form of money. One cent for each vote. Look for these exciting pictures in the near future. I)R. BRI CE Jensen will head up the Civic Club area. Dr. Jensen will contact all clubs in an effort to obtain donations through this area. Dixie Owens is in charge of canisters in all the business establishments in the community. These cans will be placed in various areas and donations will be collected on a weekly basis. Census Reports Big Jump In Davis Housing tains over each area. These captains, in turn, will work with approximately ten people each and contact each person in their respective area for pledges and donations. It was pointed out that a person could pledge $100 and give $10 per month and have his pledge completed over a period. The American Legion is seeking contact with any Vietnam War veterans residing in Layton who were exposed to the herbicide Agent Orange during their service in Vietnam and who have subsequently been examined at a Veterans Administration medical center or outpatient clinic.
