ELDER AVERY Elder Garth L. Avery has accepted a mission call to serve in the Italy Padova Mission. He v, ill enter the Mission Training Center on Aug. 21. Kenneth graduated from Davis High School and has bee employed at Jack Truck and Alignment since graduating. While ajunior in high school he attended the Washingt, D.C. Explorer Conference. He represented the National Presei-dent- s HE IS the son of Barry and Carol Avery of Kaysville He graduated from Davis High and the Kaysville LDS Seminary and was a member of the Seminary Council. He has held various leadership positions in his priesthood quorums and is the recipient of his Duty To God Award. He has been employed at Bowmans Market in Kaysville for the past three years. Dawson, 53. of 142 Layton, died July 30. 1980 in Wednesday. Layton. HE WAS BORN May 6.1927 in Monticello. a son of Ray and Olive Melissa Jarvis Christensen. On April 5, 1947. he married LaReta Stewart in Clearfield. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Mr. Christensen was retired from Hill Air Force Base and the Davis County School District. HE WAS a member of the Layton 18th Ward and held the office of a high priest. He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean conflict. Surviving are his wife, Layton: sons, Steven J.( Christensen, Gary A. Christensen, Roger D. Christensen,' Kenneth S.
