Show WEEKLY REFLEX DAVIS NEWS JOURNAL, SEPTEMBER 20. 1979 CHURCH Missionaries Program Schedule For Trinity Lutheran Church The Education LAYTON of Department Trinity Lutheran Church at 385 W. Golden Avenue, Layton has begun their new programs for the year. Sunday School classes for all ages and the Adult Bible class will be at be studying the Gospel of each Sunday morning. The Adult Bible class will YOUTH BIBLE Study will be held each first and third Sundays at 3 p.m. A Ladies Bible class is being held ion. Tuesday mornings from 9:30-10:4- 5 2-- CCW Will Host 9-- a.m. Wednesday evening there is a Bible Study Discussion class being held from 7:30-8:3p.m. Thursday evening there is a Bible course on Life with God. This class is from Spaghetti Dinner On October 7th The St. Rose of Lima Council of Catholic Women (CCW) will hold their spaghetti dinner on Sunday, Oct. 7 in the St. Rose of Lima hall, 85 Church Street, Layton from 12 noon to 4 p.m. Cost will be adults, $2.50; children, $1.50; family, $10. The theme will be Bella Fiesta. OFFICERS OF the council Bobbie Hunt, CCW are 0 9 president; Sandy Della Ratta, dinner chairman; Terri Car-pinel- Janet Weis, decorations; Anita Flippen, publicity; Mary Adams, tickets; and Theresa Sisneros, music. Proceeds from the dinner will go to buy a new refrigerator for the parish hall and remodel the kitchen in the church basement. ELDER CALDER NEW SEMINARY TEACHERS New faces at the Davis High School LDS Three new faces appear among the faculty at the Kaysville Seminary this year to fill the void of two teachers who have transferred else- Janet Tebbs from Panguitch, THOSE LEAVING were Bill Norton, who is working with Mrs. Adams is the Stake Relief Society president for the Kaysville East Stake. where. the Seminary Home Study in Kentucky and program Ivan Brewer, who is working with the Homebound students in the Northern Davis County area. Mr. Brewer still resides in Kaysville. New teachers at the seminary are Don L. Adams, Donald C. Edwards, and Chuck Schwab, the latter teaching only two classes in the afternoon while he finishes his degree State College. at Weber. He will graduate in have lived in Kaysville for 15 years and are the parents of three children, two of whom graduated from Davis High School. They are members of the Kaysville Eighth Ward. Weber MR. ADAMS has been the principal of the Clearfield High Seminary the past seven years. Previous to that he taught seminary in Layton for five years, at Viewmont for three years and started his career at the Bicknell Seminary in Wayne County, where he taught for three years. He and his wife, the former one more quarter with a degree in psychology and a committee chairman in LDSSA, and was Weber State College Stake Mission Councilor. He is not married but is working on it, and is greatly enjoying his new experience as a seminary teacher. Mr. Edwards has been living in Arizona for the past attended high school in Star Valley, Wyo. and Twin Falls, Idaho graduating in 1952. He received his BS degree in social studies from the University of Utah and his masters degree in educational psychology at BYU. He fulfilled an LDS mission to Hawaii and sang in the Tabernacle Choir his last three years of college while at the U. of U. He enjoys singing, various sports, and loves MR. ADAMS four years teaching in Mesa and then went to Scottsdale for three years in the Seminary, he has had Inexperience as a part-tim- e stitute teacher. 2:30. A graduate of Layton High School and the Seminary, he has been employed by J.B.s Inc. (Big Boy) Clearfield. 972 Chuck Schwab was bom in Logan, the middle of five sons to Moroni and Ila May Schwab. He grew up in Salt Lake City and graduated from South High School. He fulfilled a mission to the New Zealand Auckland Mission. He attended college at Ricks for two years and two years at 1955 in vee v Xx'1- - 'V' O8' a.0' ,0 and Teachers He served as Young Adult Representative of the Tenth Ward. EDWARDS married the former Janine Morgan of Layton. He is from Kaysville where he and his wife attended and graduated from Davis High in 1969. He has been a basketball coach, guidance counselor, teacher, educational consultant, federal programs consultant for HEW in Washington, D.C. and the president of the College of Ganado on the Navajo Reservation in northeastern Arizona.
