JULY WEEKLY REFLEX 5. 1979 iffSeers Named NayswMe Svffc New President-eleTom Allen of Kaysville Civic Association ct conducted the regular monthly meeting in the absence of President Ron Pearson. Richard Bushnell, chairman of the nominating committee for the new officers announced the slate of of- ficers for the 1979-8year. The names were presented before KCA members and 0 voted on. NEW OFFICERS will be Tom Allen, president; John Brown, Robert president-elect- ; Anderson, adult chairman; Patty Hartley, youth chairman and Joan Olsen, secretary. Mr. Anderson and Mrs. Hartley were reelected to their positions. .The secretary position is a term and the other r ofpositions are a fice. Ron Pearson is the outgoing president and Sandy two-ye- one-yea- Butterfield as resigned secretary. MR. ALLEN thanked all those who are leaving who have served the past year, and expressed his appreciate for their attendance and service. Mrs. Hartley announced they have scheduled a tour of the Kaysville Mountain Park for all KCA members and their partners for Saturday, July 21. They are to meet at the entrance of the park at 7 aibt. and breakfast will be served before the tour starts. The tour will be a one and a thjrd mile walk. Those who need additional information may contact Mrs. Hartley or Mr. Allen. They invited all members to come out and join them. SANDY BUTTERFIELD two poems she had written of her feelings of KCA as she leaves the organization serving the past year as secretary. She then added laughter as she presented the KCA officers and representatives with a clever individual award she had made for each. She read the verse on each aWard as they were presented to the recipients. Club reports were given. rad JOSEPH S. Hill, representative for the Kaysville-Frui- t Heights Council said they are going ahead with all plans for the Heritage Harvest Days and everyone of the 50 volunteers are pushing ahead with their plans. Saturday evening June 30 will be the first presentation of the musical production home for a student from Turkey to come and attend Davis High on the AFS Program. She feels that someone will be willing to provide a home for the student and those who are interested should contact or Mrs. John Costley, TWO AFS students, who have been in Kaysville the past year, left Saturday to return to their native countries. They were Numi and Carlos. Morey (Bud) Jeffery, Post American Legion representative discussed the need for a new American Flag, for the Kaysville Cemetery. Mrs. Alice Rampton had each of,' the photos mounted and they are now an attractive collection. By request of the citizens, this exhibit is being displayed for the public.
