Musical selection, Clouds, New Deputy Commander Clearfield FFA Holds Social For Opening On Monday, Sept. 26, at 5:30 p.m. Clearfield High FFA held their annual opening social. The social began with opening ceremonies. OFFICERS stood at their stations while vice president took roll call, to see how many officers were present and each officer would tell what his or her duties were at that station. the After opening ceremonies there was a film on Food for America. It was about food products across the nation. The film talked about where different foods came from and how it got to where it is now. Refreshments were also served during the film. AFTER the film, Nile Carlson, Clearfield FFA advisor, gave an orientation on the film, to review and share his views with the members. He also talked about the FFA National convention to be held each year in Kansas City. Dave Potter, another Clearfield FFA advisor, then encouraged all members to participate on the Food for America project. AGAIN officers stood at their stations for the closing ceremonies. A football game then proceeded in which all members joined in, including officers and advisors. Services Held For Lola J. Johansen Mrs. Lola Jeppson Johansen, 80, of 233 N. 1300 E., Layton died Tuesday, Sept. 20, 1977 in the Davis North Medical Center. SHE WAS bom October 16, College Ward, Utah, a daughter of Hans Jacob and Dorothy Riggs Jeppson. 1896 in Mrs. Johansen attended schools in Brigham City and at the LDS Business College in Salt Lake City. ON MARCH 16, 1921, she married Harold E. Johansen Sr. in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died m January 1977.
