BLODGETT A draft environmental report filed by the Air Force on behalf of the proposed 6 jet fighter wing being assigned to Hill Air Force Base contained favorable data, it was announced by Air Force officials. THE REPORT stated that assignment of the 6 wing to the northern Utah air base will (1) lessen the noise factor of military aircraft operations in northern Utah and (2) the overall pollutant emissions from the 6 will not be substantially different from that of the F-- 4 jet presently operating out of Hill Air Force Base. Plans call for the first to begin arriving in 1979 with the wing, consisting of 72 aircraft, to be completed the following year. The jet combat fighters will be assigned to the 388th Tactical Fighter Wing at Hill.
