Mr. Soulier will join them in a week also for a short visit in Utah. She has been a soloist with numerous community and university groups in U,tah. Idaho and Indiana. She has and directed written roadshows and high school musicals. Gregg Hansons appointment to the U. of U. band WITH Junior faculty and to the schools 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. faculty, Dana Rothlisberger will be the new director of bands at Davis High School. Mr. Rothlisberger has just completed his studies for his Master of Music Degree from KEITH Brimhall, popular and successful director of the Kaysville Junior bands has requested a sabatical leave to pursue his studies in music at B.Y.U. this year. His replacement will be East Texas State University at Commerce, Texas. AN expert trombonist, Dana was born in Colorado, raised in Nebraska, educated in Texas, with parents currently residing in Montana. Steven S. Talbot, a 1965 Davis High School graduate. Steven is an excellent trombonist, a USU graduate in 1972 and since then, a music instructor in the schools at Pima, Ariz. STEVEN IS the son of George L. Talbot of Kaysville. He is married, is currently the father of one child and even has experience as a gas and diesel mechanic. Mr. Talbots successful teaching experience in the His extra employment varies from recording technician in Commerce and Granbury, to ranch hand in Montana and Texas. Rothlisberger is MR. single and without previous public school employment. However, he has been the Assistant Band Director at East Texas State University, under James Kune; himself a graduate of the University of Michigan and a fellow student of Gregg Hanson. Pima Junior High and Senior High School should make him a valuable teacher for the Kaysville Junior band Dana has experience with marching and concert band, music adjudication, concert tours, pit orchestra, and graduated with superior academic standing. THIS young man has the potential to become an outbandsman and standing educator and should be a delightful teacher for High School band students. Colemere. Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Blamires, Mr. and Mrs. Alma Vance motored to Idaho Falls, Idaho to attend the wedding and reception of their nephew Kelly ONeil at the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Kelly was married to Cynthia Buhler. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth ONeil of Pocatello, former Ida. Kaysville residents. Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Preece and children accompanied her parents Mr. and Mrs. Golden Sorenson and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Branden-ber- g all of Smithfield, to Smithfield Canyon east of Logan for a four day camping trip over the holiday weekend. Wallace Odd of Oakland, Calif, is visiting with his mother, Mrs. Ella Odd and with his brother and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Odd. Lt. Col. (Ret ) and Mrs. Morey (Bud) Jeffery of Kaysville, Major (Ret.) and Mrs. Joe Schober of Morgan vacationed in Hawaii where they saw beautiful islands and took many tours, sightseeing and enjoyed the beaches and visited the LDS Temple grounds. On their return they spent a week in California sightseeing at San Francisco and Sacramento. Ann Miss Umpleby daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William H. Umpleby is confined to the U of U hospital in Intensive Care Unit. She remains seriously ill. She was transferred this week from the McKay hospital in Ogden to the University Hospital in Salt Lake Citv. -. evening in honor of their Had-fiel- d nephew, Elder Daniel prior to his leaving to enter the LDS Mission Home in Salt Lake City and the Language Training Center at Provo before departing for his mission to the Japan, Tokyo mission. Forty guests attended. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Hadfield. Returning from a 10 day vacation trip is Mr. and Mrs. Howard Cloward. They visited with their son and Mr. and daughter-in-law- , Mrs. Curtis Cloward at Anaheim, Calif, for five days, then spent time in San Francisco, Calif, on various tours and sightseeing before driving up the coast to Jacksonville, Oregon where they were guests of his sister and where Nola studied for two weeks at the Marin-Civi- c Ballet School. They enjoyed sightseeing in San Francisco. Vernon Nicholls is still critically ill at the McKay Hospital in Ogden where he is in the Intensive Unit. His son Robert from Maryland came by plane to see him and be with his mother for a few days. Mrs. Rosetta Swanger was honored on her birthday anniversary Sunday at a family patio dinner. Guests included her husband, Vernell and their son, Mr. and Mrs. Coy Swanger and daughters Lynette and Denise of Ogden; Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Sherwood, Kaysville; Mrs. Laura Ronnfeldt, Clearfield; Mr. and Mrs. Verdun Nicholas, Sunset. Mr. and Mrs. brother-in-la- Que Jamison. Mr. and Mrs. Jamison Members and their families the Kaysville 9th LDS Ward held their annual Ward Outing on Friday and Saturday. July 9 and 10 at Nephi Canyon in Southern Utah. Among the events many attended was the LDS Manti prominent Pageant. Mr. and Mrs. Larry Vaughn and family of Las Vegas, Nevada were house guests for five days of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Elison. They also visited with Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Bass, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd of en- tertained at a family reunion. Those attending in addition to Mr. and Mrs. Cloward were Mr. and Mrs. George Ruegg, Akron, Ohio and Mrs. Marie Woodhouse, Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Don Edwards have returned from a five day vacation trip to Lake Powell where members of Mr. Edwards family met for a traditional family reunion. Twelve brothers and sisters and their spouses enjoyed a delightful stay at the Lake boating and fishing. Saturday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. William S. Bennett were Mr. and Mrs. Milford Acres and family of Warner Robins, Berger and other relatives and friends in the area. Miss Sue Wood was a guest of Miss Jodie Bourne at a family outing at Bear Lake over the holiday weekend. Mrs. Richard Johns and infant daughter Jennifer have returned from the McKay hospital and will be staying with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Blamires for two weeks. Its a first child for the Johns and they will then return to their home at Wells, Nev. Mr. and Mrs. Vernell Swanger drove to Seattle, Wash, to visit their daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Mr. Richard Baroga, Swanger remained in Seattle while Mrs. Swanger, her daughter Mrs. Richard Baroga and her daughter Mrs. Keats Linhart went by plane to Hawaii for a 12 day tour of the Islands.
