ALSO HER mother of Pasadena, Calif., two sisters, Mrs. Ray (Mignon) Branch, Los Angeles, Calif.; and Mrs. Virgil (Ralphie) Hendricks, Northridge, Calif. Funeral services were conducted on Monday afternoon at 1 p.m. with Bishop ElRay Pedersen officiating. EXDORA SMEDLEY Mrs. Eldora Ash Smedley, 40, of 2053 Valley View Dr., Layton was killed in an automobile collision in St. Anthony, Ida., as she and her husband George H. Smedley and two of their children Clair, 10, and Cynthia 5, were returning from a three day visit in West Yellowstone. THE FREMONT County Sheriffs Office said the Smedley car slid on an icy road and collided with another vehicle. Mrs. Smedley was dead on arrival at a St. Anthony hospital. Mr. Smedley was admitted to the Idaho Falls LDS Hospital with a broken pelvis and broken ribs. The son Clair, is in serious condition with head injuries and the daughter, Cynthia, in good condition with broken ribs. Both are also in the Idaho Falls Hospital. She was bom Aug. 31, 1935, in Seattle, Wash., a daughter, of Ralph and Amelia Basitista Ash. SHE WAS married to George Henry Smedley on June 8, 1954 in the St. George LDS Temple. She painted photography for Larrys Studio in Ogden and also did ceramic work. She lived most of her married life in Syracuse, moving to Layton in November, 1975. She was a graduate of St. John Marshall High School in Los Angeles, Calif. She attended Brigham Young University.
