PLEASAN- T- A group of dedicated theatre students at Wasatch Academy have formed a performing arts production troupe caUed Bootstrap Players Company' and will present their first production, "Much Ado About Nothing" by Shakespeare Friday, Apri. 23 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Apr. 24, at 2 p.m. and again at 7 p.m., at the TD theatre in the Southwest corner of the Wasatch Academy campus, 120 South 100 West, Mt. Pleasant. There is a smaU charge for tickets. Bootstrap Players' Company is under the supervision of Wasatch Academy Performing Arts Department faculty and head of Fine Arts Winnie Wood. Students, guided by founding member, president and production manager, Meisja Turner are in charge of every aspect of the production including PR and audience development, design and execution of lighting, set, costumes and make-up- , stage and house management as well as acting in the performance. Many believe that Shakespeare finally got the love story he was trying for in 'Taming of the Shrew,' right in Much Ado about Nothing.' Fifth graders help with Veterans Memorial Restoration project Vice-preside- nt Hospital Births Bootstrap Players' Company present "Much Ado About Nothing" a, Michael Wright. They will be working with art and math, drawing designs to scale, to help with ideas for a new Veterans Monument which currently is under disrepair and will be torn down as recommended to the city by the Main Street Committee. The plaques will be put into storage until a new monument can be constructed. They will be working to help raise funds for the new monument through service projects such as a car wash and selling items for Mother's Day and Father's Day gifts. There are a few plaques which are missing from the wall and they are hoping the residents of Sanpete will submit names of all their family members which were involved with the military in the Black 1 lawk war, WWI, WWII or other wars to update and replace the unknown names for inclusion on the memorial when it is reconstructed. located in the high mountain valleys of Central Utah, is one of the public col leges In the West. While there, Cali Christensen competed in the state creed contest. Kaylynn Johnson and Maria Peel received state degree awards for three consecutive years participation in the FFA. North Sanpete High School (NSHS) natural resources and biology agriculture classes, in conjunction with the North Sanpete FFA, recently participated in a Sanpitch River restoration project in Fairview. They assisted Brian Miller from the Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) and Mike Slater from the Department of Wildlife Resources (DWR) in planting willows on stream banks for fish habitat and to help stop erosion. - Alta Osborne, Fairview, will be celebrating her 90th birthday, Saturday, April 24 with a family dinner at the Fairview Dance Hall. Alta was bom April 26, 1914, in Fairview to Oscar and Hettie Amundsen and has lived in Fairview most of her life. She married Gardell Osborne July 17, 1933. He passed ,pvay in 1986. Alta has always been very independent. She lives by herself and still takes care of her home and does some of her yard work. She is a wonderful cook; still plays the organ in sacrament meeting and attends the LDS Temple weekly. She enjoys reading, listening to music and spends many hours crocheting beautiful afghans and other items. Aha has four children; LaWana Shepherd, Spanish Fork; Larry Osborne, Jeanette and Ross Terry, all of Fairview; and Jeri Lynn Brady, SahLake City. She has 15 grandchiland dren, 35 gr one great who all think their "Granny Aha" is the greatest.
