This year nearly 500 people were served a taco bar, along with Spanish rice, beans, chips and salsa, donuts and homemade root beer. A Mariachi band performed while lunch was being served. Later a program was presented, which included authentic Spanish Dances and songs. The girls made the colorful dresses and aprons which they wore. Friendship Days was sponsored by the Moroni LDS Stake, Moroni City, and Moroni Turkey Processing Plant. On Monday, Oct. 18, at 9 a.m., the van will leave for a service trip to Richfield. Fountain Green LDS Wards gave beautiful knitted baby bootie and hat combinations, crocheted scarfs and hats, and several baby quilts. The stake also took in 80 pairs of eye glasses, 20 small cloth balls that youth made, a childs winter coat, sheets and pillowcases. One sister crocheted 70 pair of baby booties, another made 10 cloth dolls and 20 crocheted small scarves, just right for a small child. Nearly 200 bars of soap were received.
