Show Mormon Miracle Pageant 22-2- 6 begins June 17-19, MANTI-- - The Mormon cle Pageant, now in its 33rd season, will run Thursday, June 17 through Saturday, June 19, and Tuesday, June 22 through Saturday, June 26, All shows 9:30 begin at approximately p.m., lasting about one hour and 40 minutes. s, which Musical 7 around begin p.m. each evening, include the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and other talented groups. The National Anthem will also be sung before each performance by various artists. Admission is free of charge and everyone in the community is encouraged to attend. Plenty of seating is available, either on provided chairs, or on the lawn, early arrival is suggested. No pre-show- coolers, containers or pets are allowed on temple grounds. Ushers will be available to answer questions and LDS missionaries will be taking referrals. Handicap services and foreign language translators will be on site. First aid and information centers will be located nearby. Concession stands and dinners at local churches are available, although food will not be sold after the pageant begins. There are also local parks and campsites for picnicking. This is the largest outdoor pageant in the United States, attracting over 140,000 visitors over the eight night run. More than 500 volunteers help each year to make the pageant a J. Keller Christenson succumbs at age 77 GUNNISC- N- J. Keller Chris- tenson, a former Sanpete County I stockman and Commissioner, farmer died at the age of 77, on June 12, 1999, at Utah Valley Medical Center in Provo. Christenson was elected to the commission in 1985 serving 14 years. He decided not to run for due to health reasons, finishing his term in December 1998. An active member of the LDS Church and community, Christ- enson served on many boards, councilman. bishopric, high Lions Club presiedent. County Farm Bureau president, and member and on board of directors of the Federal Land Bank for 32 years. He also promoted the weed control program in the county. Christenson touched many lives during his lifetime. He is survived by his wife, Marian, four children, 27 grandchildren and three August garden benefit planned MT. PLEASAN- T- The San- pete Valley Healthcare Foundation is planning a Benefit Garden Tour for August 13, fiom 5 to 9 p.m. and Aug. 14, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tickets will go on sale July 26. Lunch program Council members gave permission for the North Sanpete School District summer lunch program to continue at city park, with a request for improved supervision. Up until now, there has been a problem with kids in the park after program hours. Resolutions Council members passed resolutions 99-- 1 and 99-- 2 for the new clinic.
