The questionnaire is being conducted by professional telephone surveyors at Gallup. Five hundred households in each of Utahs 12 local health districts are being called. "All responses are confidential," says Lois Haggard, research consultant, in the Bureau of Surveillance and Analysis (BSA). "Gallup contacts households by generating phone numbers at random. They dont know the familys name or address, and will not keep the phone numbers without permission." Data collection will end in September.
